Airbrushing Easy Skulls - airbrush

Hey i have a great idea for stencils if you guys dont wanna buy them. All you need is a laptop, paper, pencil, and exacto knife. I take a picture i want of a stencil, and then blow it up to the size i want on my computer, then take the peice of paper and place it on the screen, just tilt the screen back, and you can trace anything you want. And no this does not affect the screen, just dont push extremely hard. =)

you can find em on google and print out the image, it will be blury in A4 size but trace it over to a clean papper and put a plastic sheet over and cut it out with a razor blade.. I did and its perfect. take a look on my graff video and you will see.

The shading and highlights are part of the detailing, they gave the final peice a much more detailed and professional appearance.

Using stencils isn't a "cheap technique". Ed Hubbs, who's work I respect very much, uses stencils. Stencils just give you the basic outline and correct line placement. You can always brush over the stencils and add as much

detail as you wish, basically erasing the stencil to the point where it's impossible to tell you used one.

If you do custom painting for a living, time is money. Getting the pattern down quickly for later detailing makes a lot of sense.

On google search for lucky13 skull stencil... I did and I cut it out on a pice of plastic... take some time and some skills whit a blade but I didn´t spend money at all..

i respect all types of artist and art works,but i have to say this is a very cheap technique...no one should use this if ure looking for satisfaction.don't get me wrong there a project that is great by the stenciling method due to certain factors>>...this jobs would have been so much better free handed....

Man This is a pretty good way to knock out a notebook cover. It would not be practical to do each skull by hand. The finished artwork would be worth more than the pc!

You have to consider the 95% of the people out there starting out. with little experience, creativity and/or steady hand, you cant even dream of drawing a skull that looks remotely good. Just like when i started. Im not a pro now, but i do fairly well in my own projects, and i still make my own stencils for background if necessary. So i say, do whatever is necessary to get the best effects, even if it is a "cheap technique". Cheers!
