  • I first had Schizotypal, then when OCD set upon me, i was also diagnosed with depression, and as the OCD started to go away, social anxiety and low self esteem became more prominent.

  • thanks, this was really helpful

  • Good video, and so true, it is all about realizing that even if people are thinking those things about you, you shouldn't care! Its easier said than done, but its the ultimate goal ;) thanks so much for posting it!

  • Wow you look Great!, Compared to your last video I had to backspace to check to see if it was the same lad. Kinda skeptical if this is true or weather you made it up. But hey glad to see uve overcome your issues and giving those hope in bad times peace

  • I never had Social Anxiety Disorder. This is more about just not giving a shit what people think. It's about Social Anxiety in terms of being "shy" which everyone experiences, which I used to be and am not anymore.

  • Helpful! Thanks!

  • To the SA thing, yes if you really wanna say something, just say it (its gonna make you self-confident and its intersting to see other people react).

  • Great video!

  • Yooh respects for the help buddy, i pretty much have the same shit to deal with as yu, yu;ve been a big help man!

  • great advice. i'm a shy guy. and i think way too much. currently depressed and that's how i found your video

  • Love is the answer, that's the bottom line...

  • LOVE WILL KILL THE MONSTER

  • My shyness is also worse if I'm talking to someone who is an authority figure, such as a teacher, a doctor,a dentist, etc...

  • No shyness is not part of OCD. If that were true then it could be argued that 50% of the population have OCD! IMO being shy is social anxiety, because you feel limited towards your social actions since you're afraid of how people will react and what they will think about you.

How shy are you? I used to be shy in situations where I met new people, so what I did was I decided to just start talking to people everywhere. This had a tremendously positive effect on me, and you should do it too!

  • yeah, you're right. What I mean though is: could having ocd make shyness worse? Well, first off, I used to be REAL shy. How my shyness is now is that I sometimes get nervous when I talk to people I don't know that well. And when I get nervous, the words that come out of my mouth sound like jibber jabber. It's embarrasing! lol. It's worse when a group of people are standing around. Sometimes I get so nervous that I blank and forget what I was going to say.

  • Social Anxiety is not really the same as shyness. Shyness is something you outgrow, something which doesn't disrupt and ruin your life. Social Anxiety is a disorder of your thought patterns, which is much more invasive than shyness.

  • social anxiety-you mean being shy?

And I am shy, so do you think that my shyness could be a part of my ocd?
