Wonderful! It's great to watch different designs to inspire me for my customers at work :) I always experiment with patterns and designs, this is just marvelous.
lol.... 'domestic' machine. saw this machine on the weekend (drooling over it actually), it was AUS$4500. It is a very high end domestic. all that said however there is actually nothing stopping a person from doing this with a $400 machine.
I am getting fairly good at latte art, but you have inspired me to take it to the next level! Cheers. Also, I was having trouble making swans but was trying to pour it differently to how you do, so now i'm excited about work tomorrow so I can try pouring them that way :)
but where can you get that machine coz i tried a few and the milk doesnt steam well cause the is not enough power? would you give me an idea i live in the uk by the way your arts a brilliant...
i'm a barista too but i can barely do the hart shape.... and i'm doing this for about 2 years now.... i work with la cimballi and my milk is never as good at yours :(
You have been a Barista for 2 years and still haven't cracked latte art? :S I've been a Barista now for 5 months and was doing rosettas and hearts by the third month - with no previous experience of making coffee! You must be steaming the milk TOTALLY wrong! If you're steaming it correctly, you would sometimes by accident make latte art! Lol so practice steaming the milk.
My next thing to start practicing is swans and dragons! :D
100% delicious and drinkable, there would be no point making it look nice and presentable if you can't serve it. looking good is nice but taste is the most important factor of all. nothing you do to the coffee should ever compromise the taste.
hi buddie, quality videos! im a barista myself, i work for costa coffee but dont really get the chance to practice latte art because of " brand standards" lol but try my best! could you tell what machine your using and also what tune this is cuz its quality, cheers bruv keep pouring!
I have the same machine, but have a difficult time reaching the perfect texture on my milk like you do. Would you please share your technique on what kind of milk you use and maybe post a video of you doing your milk?
What is it that happens? I had troubles with milk when i got it, The EU version comes with a 2 hole tip unlike the US one. I blocked one hole with a toothpick and i get creamy microfoam every time. hope that helps.
yeah i agree that it is a little hard to get used to at first but once you have a little play you can figure it out, just be patient with it cause it will b a little slower then the bigger commercial machines, have the nozzle shallower in the milk at first to create the volume that you desire then when your happy with the amount of micro-foam you have obtained sit the nozzle in a little bit deeper and keep the jug steady and straight as possible as you allow it to get up to heat
now the milk may not of looked like it has frothed up much but that is the trick to obtaining perfect milk, it should have the consistancy of thickened cream,be glossy and smooth and free of big evident bubbles, to ensure that your not doing your milk to thin make note of where the milk level is when you start and when you finish there should be an obvious difference of at the very least a cm or two depending on the style of coffee you are going for,
remember you can always thin milk out by splitting it but can not produce more froth when you done, in the end it will all come to you with practice so keep at it
@MrDsterdee i also have this machine as do a couple of others at my work, unfortunately the steam wand on my machine has rather wet air while a workmates has lovely dry air and steams the milk great, at the end of the day it wont have the power that a commercial machine can have but i find i get the best milk when i very gently strech the entire steaming process rather than just at the beginning. hope this helps.
haha love it, "Domestic" £3000 for that machine!

Hey man, it's David Robson from barista exchange (the one that said I stumbled across your youtube).
Didn't realise you were using a Brewtus III, I'm on the same machine.
Nice work. More free pouring in this one which I like. Well done.
