The Tea Party in the House put forth a bill that would have avoided this. The Senate, in their infinite stupidity, tried to skirt the issue. They and the President got what they wanted. Now the headlines say “Downgrade may cloud Obama re-election bid”. Why be surprised, everything King Midas has touched has turned to sh*t. The absolute proof that liberalism is a mental illness is the fact that liberals think they will be immune to the melt down of the economy or the wrath of the people.
