  • best VH album, best song on the album. -nuff said

  • Cool song.

  • hands down one of the best fucking rock bands to ever exist!! \m/ \m/

  • Who does this kinda art anymore. The music is its own storylin, and Dave again knocks it out of the stadium. Come Eddie get these fox back together again. enuf of the BS.

  • i laugh at the fools that think there was no good music in the eighties

  • why they didn't play this live is beyond me, i love this song, daves lyrics are great, i love how vh lyrics with dave are so laid back and its something we imagine ourselves doing, dave is so much better for this band, it suits there style as well, pure rock and roll at its finest,

  • This is the song that got me into music.... That was 30 years ago.

  • TAKE IT OFF! RAKE IT ALL OFF!!

  • Excellent! :D

  • Hell yeah! That`s what I call sound quality!

  • would have given anything to be at this recording session

  • wheres the screenshot of Traci Lords?

  • Well I'm I52 years old and I think VH is the bees knees!

  • Best lyric ever = GO SEE BAY-BEEEE NOW !!!!

  • this song is awesome, i don't know why they didn't do this live,

  • WTF is this SHIT??? BULLSHIT MUSIC

  • @juhuhuhuhuh WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU???? AN ASSHOLE

  • @juhuhuhuhuh Are you friend of Disney Lover? Or better, ARE YOU DISNEY LOVER?

  • This song makes me think about the smoking hot girls I went to high school with, I can picture them right now, yummy!

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds your so right, love daves high pitch screams, this song just oozes of hot naked chics wanting to get laid, by a rock star like van halen

  • this is VH @ their best

  • GOOD NOW AS IT WAS THEN!

  • one of the greatest rock songs ever written

  • From my point of view, best VH album ever made. Sounds just as fresh now as the day it hit the store.

  • Sam person ruining the song for the world. Greedy criminal. Worst kind.

  • 3rd best album

  • Classic SHIT. Rock fuckin' sucks

  • This song is the soundtrack to Charlie Sheen's drug-fueled life !!

  • i saw thes guys live in 5th grade it was so sweet

  • always 1 idiot in the crowd .... man .. get it together lmao!~this tune rocks ass man!

  • Ya, Fair Warning is my fav for sure!

  • Something tells me Eddie actually recorded the bass parts in this song. It just has a very Edwardian sound to it. MA doesnt usually play like this.

  • 'got the big deal in the back of a lemo' lol -Van Halen my fav. Band -Cabo Wabo Baby!!

  • take it off take it all off

  • wow if you have ever listened to ton loc he stole the beginning of this song to used it on a song called cheeba cheeba

  • i think all VH albums till diver down were great, then they come mostley with sleepy ballads.

  • Van Halen's LAST great album before sell out city!!! LOVE Fair Warning!!!! .........Greatest thing you've EVER seen!

  • Diamond Lee Roth = ULTIMATE ROCK GOD

Sammy Hagar = ULTIMATE FAGGOT ASS

  • without any doubt, the best van halen record made (pure and simple) this is a 1-2 punch combo, lights out bitches!

  • go c baby nowwwwwwwwwwwwww !!!!

  • edward is so stones on tat photo

  • I'm sure someone else has said this, but isn't Eddie one of the greatest rhythm players ever?! His soloing is legendary of course. But listen to how f-ing TIGHT he was, especially on Fair Warning.

As if his lead playing wasn't a hard enough act to follow....

  • @nitedrive He effortless transition between the two is flawless too. :)

  • @nitedrive Yeah! His rhytm playing is the shit really! I`ve always loved his rhytms, like the bridge section in "Unchained". How do you come up with something like that?!! Pure genius!!!

  • classic V/H ROCKS

  • I have to agree with MikeONW..Say what you want about David Lee..He pretty much is made fun of today and righteously so..But in this era VH 1 2 and of coarse there 3rd album fair warning. i mean some bands today would kill to make a record a 10th good as these classic gems.

  • @yeaghallow: Just an FYI: Fair Warning is Van Halen's 4th Album, following VH1, VH2 and Women and Children First.

  • Oh you ate one too !! Excellent Album & Song 5000000 Comets

  • when ever i hear this song i think of the night i went to a strip bar a few yrs out of high school and saw one of the hottest girls from high school naked on the stage.couldnt get her to go out with me in h.s. but that night for $20 did i get a show..this song goes out to you jackie

  • Thing I always loved about Roth-era Van Halen is they had these long, funky intros that got amped up to full speed like a rocket ship outta Hell........this song is a great example.......by the time David Lee is screaming and hollerin' the song is going 900 MPH and we're going to outer space!

  • @Hunkola ....Hunkola, you're a frickin' genious, and thank you for the props on my comment dealing with that fuckin' douche-bag Satch fan tryin' to talk amateur shit!! Great commentary....I'm a big fan, and I believe we think alike regarding how f'n great Van Halen, with Diamond Dave, was and is and how there will never, ever be anything like it again....these idiots need to recoginze!!

  • Perfect song, loved it when i 1st heard it, love it every time since.

  • PLAY DIS A MY WAKE

  • For best results crank the volume.

  • finest guitar player ever.

  • This probably was rarely, if ever, played live because there are parts that would require 3 guitars. Particularly the solos. To think that Eddie created the Frankenstrat by ripping it apart and, while trying to re-assemble it, forgot how to rewire parts of it!!! Classic!!

  • Everyone always goes on and on about Eddie's solos. Deservedly so. But HOLY CRAP, his rhythm guitar was so much more evolved, complicated and interesting than any other guitar slinger back in the day. Eddie's from another planet. Incredible.

  • @skrason No doubt brother! His rhythm KILLS.

  • @shredder1965 : Ain't it? While everyone else was playing 8th note power chords, Eddie was doing THIS.

  • @shredder1965 I agree. Eddie's rhythm playing (at least during the height of Van Halen) is sometimes overshadowed by his lead/solo ability, but he had the most solid, badass rhythm grooves in hard rock.

  • @skrason

Is Holland another planet? Don't think so. A world apart, yes.

  • does it well though

  • Sounds like dolphins or whales in the opening, really amazing what eddie can

    do with his guitar :o))

  • lol

  • Eddie written this song for Valerie bertinellii

  • Go see Baby Noooooooooooow

  • quite possibly the best vh tune ever recorded....

  • its up there no doubt

  • Agreed. Fucking great.

  • You could say that about just about any vh tune!

  • @fretworksmusic FAIR WARNING WAS REALLY IN MY OPINION THE BEST SO YES I AGREE

  • I like so this is love, right now, and mean street

  • THE BEST ALBUM EVER

  • I'm 44 years old and this tune makes it easy to remember why we were awed by Van Halen. Classic!

  • at age 43 Im with ya MikeOpNewsWatch

  • absofreakinlutely love this VH tune!!

  • lights camera ehhhhhaaaaaaaahhhccccttttiiiioooonnn!!!!

  • The Bass guitar in this song.... Ooooooo how awesome

  • What get lost from this song is Micheal Anthony's bass line, it is funky, in a good way.

  • MA deserves his props!

  • VH should have made a video for this song........maybe in a sleazy strip club with Dave fondling all the girls while Eddie shreds onstage.......something that would get banned from MTV in those days!

  • i like the beginning

  • No disrespect to Dave, the tracks are classic.. but in response to "lakotabob".. yeah! I agree. Many of those early recordings held their own instrumentally..

  • I think it's funny when the crowd starts cheering and you hear roth do his yelp!

  • My fantasy has always been to make a video... this song... and a couple of strippers that I get to pick.

  • Did they ever play this live?

  • Based on the circulating recordings we have, it's highly unlikely this was ever played live. Same goes for "Push Comes to Shove" and "One Foot Out the Door."

  • why? and all classics in their own right!!!

  • This is a really cool tune ... until Dave starts howling. If Van Halen would have made this and instrumental, I'd like it a whole lot more.

  • WHY did they not do this in concert on the Fair Warning tour?

  • overdubbed guitar

  • true...

  • Ever listen to Van Halen before? Don't think Eddie has recorded a song without at least 2 guitar tracks since 1922.

  • all of the first album except running with the devil had 1 guitar only

  • jaimies cryin also

  • wow. after all this time, this song still puts chills down my spine. damn these guys were good

  • Look, Snatchbooger, show some fuckin' respect to the band you wet yourself over every night trying to emulate, but can't.......don't offer amatueur commentary and try to pass it off as something socially relevant. I'm trying to help you here, dumb fuck!!! Take the advice......now, I'm sure there's some filing that needs to be done at the warehouse you work at, so get some rest, dingbat.....peace

  • Comment removed

  • Satchbooger, when you're in your garage attempting to play yet another Eddie riff that frustrates you beyond belief and you question whether or not you should even waste the human race's time with your sorry existence, does it cross your mind that you couldn't, on your best day, come close to holding EVH's jockstrap or holding the job of Michael Anthony's ball washer or David Lee Roth's after-party fluffer cuz you're a loser beyond belief who failed miserably trying to make it on your own??? LOL

  • LOL........good job, bro.......you utterly destroyed that dumb faggot satchboggy!

Roth Van Halen fuckin' rules us all.....

  • wait are you referrinf to satchbooggy one of the best guitar players and VH coverist on youtube i have known him for a while and hes not a faggot in fact hes one of the best ppl u cud ever meet

  • Satch or Snatch or whatever your stupid-ass name is, you're a sad wanna-be piece of shit "musician" who never made it, but like a movie critic will sit back and butcher a VH song and then "offer" his moronic quote-unquote "criticism" for the lemmings who follow your nonexistent career......kill yourself now!!!

  • Yet another incredible song by the best rock band of their era!!!! fuck you, nerds!!!!

  • spoken like a true douchebag

  • check it out, at 2:16 when dave says "come see baby now" he sounds just like andrew dice clay.

  • Yes he is the riff master Check out my version of Push comes to shove I think it came out pretty good.I want to record Dirty Movies but i need the backing track for it.I am not going to play it over the original i hate that lol.

  • (sammartino68)..Dug it man (push comes to shove). @ 2:35 after the harmonics....when ed slides sharp into the solo right there...I missed not hearing it. Just a personal thing though. Soundiin' good dude. What are you guitars/amps?

  • Another example of why Eddie is the best riff/song creator ever

  • best vh song

  • litghts camera aaaction

  • fucking best intro

  • Comment removed

  • I love the "noodling" Eddie does at the beginning of "Dirty Movies" while Alex holds down the boom-boom.........fucking tasty!

  • Ok it is 11:30 a.m. Time for beer and Van Halen!

  • Ok..i will drink to the others! But only after 20 beers!

  • I only drink to the real line up!

  • I'm still drinkin' and listening to Van Halen!

  • Hopefully its only to the "classic" VH lineup and nothing else brother! Long life the "Real" Lineup!!

  • Me too. Love to get drunk and crank this shit up! HELL YEAH!

  • Corona!

  • Sweet!

  • BELCH ME TO . BUDLIGHT

  • I just want to drink beer and listen to Van Halen!

  • BUDLIGHT

  • We would probably be really good friends dude lol.

  • 1:06...who knew that evh had a guitar neck for a penis?

  • This and the first 2 are the best.

  • my favorite song from VH's greatest album. Thanks for posting.

  • I did get to see them..the fair warning tour was the best concert i ever went to...seen them at the L.A...sport areana..or forum...can't rember..still feeling the effects as u can see...I rember eddy standing under his wall of stacks and he ran up and jump kick the stack of speakers and they rock back and forth almost tiping over and he just stood there, right underneth them ripping a lead solo..just killer..will never see something like that ever again...it's so sad.I was in the 12 grade in 1981

  • I've been to about 40 rock concerts and Van Halen's 1981 Fair Warning show was my first concert and it was the best, hands down. Nothing has never even come close, not even the 1984 tour.

  • U could never say is an 1981 song, sound is incredible. One of the most underated songs ever. I wish I could see it live.

  • I'm thankful that I did get to see it live on the 1981 World Tour. After the Fair Warning tour, to my knowledge, this song never made it back to their set list, which is a shame. but "Fair Warning" is full of lost Van Halen gems, "Sinner's Swing," and "Hear About it Later," to name a couple more. Rock radio plays tons of deep cuts from AC/DC and Zep, but hardly ever do they go deep with Van Halen. I would love to hear "Dirty Movies" on class rock radio. I think I would have a heart attack.

  • That pic at 1:40.......juuuust a bit gay.

  • Yeah, but that was the '70s. Rock 'n' rollers never really thought of this as being gay. It's Dave man. You know how he is.

  • alex has funky eyes. he mostly wore shades after that.

  • Fuck Yeah!

  • Definitive VH album. Rules over all others.

  • I tend to agree. Seems many critics have other ideas but "So, this is love" with it's great snare drum sound and its driving energy really defined the best of the early band for me. Dance the Night Away put them on the map and Drop Dead Legs was the best song after this album.

  • my best album! THE BEST ALBUM !

  • wish I could play guitar like that dude

  • lights, camera, UUUACTIOONNN!!

  • um what happens at 0:40

  • sounded like the balance went left to right. I think maybe?

  • Turn it up!!

  • My very favorite VH album! Great sound quality for a youtube vid.

    GO SEE BABY NOW!!!!!

  • I agree!! I saw Van Halen at The Hampton, Va. Coliseum in 1981 When this album was out.

    Best VH days ever!

  • Absolutely. No concert ever compared to the '81 tour. I saw them September 4. 1981 in Jackson, Miss., at the Mississippi Coliseum. Best days ever, no doubt.

  • classic track!

  • Nasty, nasty guitar sound....love it!

  • A lot of guitar players are always trying to do something special! Unfortunately Ed did.

  • I'm thankful that Van Halen was born!

    Its great to be ALIVE!

  • very soon this video will be taken down BY THE COPYRIGHT NAZI'S. MANY OF MY VIDEO'S HAVE BEEN TAKEN DOWN BECAUSE OF THE COPYRIGHT ISSUE. I GUESS THE STEREO AUDIO SOUNDS TOO DAMN GOOD AND PEOPLE ARE STEALING IT FROM YOUTUBE. SO BE IT.

  • VAN HALEN FUCKING ROX

  • where is the hell a vid ove this song

  • best song of Fair Warning

    great album after all

i really don't know why the album is so badly sold

    it's a great album!

  • Next to VH1 its their best, case closed baby!!

  • Van Halen, 1984 and 5150 are the best sold albums

Fair Warning made it to 2 times platinum, none of the Van Roth albums sold worse, only Van Halen III with Gary Cherone sold worse

  • And the funny thing is 1984 is my least favorite VH album with Roth! I am not surprised Hagar's version of the band sold more records, not at all since he comericalized VH and thats probably why i only own 5150 after Roth left, its just not nearly as good.

  • i have all the albums accept for Woman And Children First and Van Halen III

and my very favourite album has always been the first Van Halen album.. and then Van Halen II, 1984 and then Fair Warning..

nog Hagar albums in my favourites, he is a better singer in my opinion but his songs aint having the extra spice of roth's songs

  • Woman and Children First is a damn good one too.

  • I dont know.. i only like 3 songs of it :P

  • Really? The first 3 alone are great and the last 3 are great. Oh well to each and his own but for me all i would ever need is the first 6 albums with Roth and thats all i would ever need in my VH collection.

  • hmm.. i don't know:P i have al hagar albums and except for WACF all roth albums.. and i listen to all of them.. but everyone gots his owne opinion

  • Hey hop2171! Thought you might be interested to know that Van Halen with Roth sold 34 million albums in the U.S., while Van Halen with Hagar sold 18 million. I'm not sure about international sales. This is according to Wikipedia, and I think they're pretty accurate on these statistics.

  • I am glad to hear that since the stuff they did with Roth in my opinion blows away anything they did with Hagar that i gotta admit that shocks the hell out of me. I mena lets face it, this song Dirty Movies didnt get a lot of air play and than you take a tune like "right here right now" was always on. Yeah that really amazes me

  • Cool song. I like how it starts with that kind of happy, melodic feel and then kicks into a harder sexy sound at about 1:10.

And of course the subject matter is perfectly appropriate for the music. Hahah

  • The best song on the Album.

  • i agree :)

  • I will say they have good tunes on other albums seriously but 4 some reason fair warning really kicks a!@$#!!$@!!!!!!!!!!!!!
