Wonderful rendition! You taught me something here. The thing you do at 1:53, Holding the note, detracts from the song I think. I have done this in songs that i sing, but NOW hearing how it sounds, I will not do these vocal gymnastics anymore. Thanks and God Bless You and Your Music.
you have done a super fantastic job on this song. lester and earl would give you a standing ovation for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! may lester rip. he was a great entertainer.
JP...Awesome pickin...this is one of Feltmates favorite tunes to pick and sing. I just sent the video off to him, He will enjoy this for sure!! Take care and God bless....
Omg Hilda.....your last name is (or was) the same as mine, and you SPELL it correctly, lol. I gotta agree with that #12 on a scale of 1 to 10! Love this tune! Thanks for sharing.
Dear Mr. JP, Your Brother Joseph directed me to your site, and man he was Right. You are flat out # 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. I realy enjoyed your rendition of "The Foggy Mtn. Boys" 'You Are My Flower'. Keep up the Good Work 'JP'. Best Regards, Jerry Vandiver. Georgia.
I heard Randy Scruggs do it on,"will the circle be unbroken album", But your version is the best I've heard anywhere. And I'm not just saying that to hear myself talk. All though I do like the droning sound of my voice!
He may be on speed, he did infact say "Pick it Earl" at one point in the video. Oh pardon me. Once you start thinking you're Earl Scruggs, it's all down hill from there.
HA little bit of Mother Maybelle for you
