  • @apankov, v etom to i vsya mysl' i fishka pesni, paren'!

  • finland beated russia! even they are so tiny compared to russia

  • @plaaplaa68 "finland beated russia! even they are so tiny compared to russia" - because USSR wasn't prepared enough to this war, Stalin thought it will be easy to invade Finland but it wasn't... and also Finland lost some of their lands, so it's kinda controversial question - who's beaten whom. and i also see that you finns are stuck in the past and still hate Russia, you don't understand that it's wrong to hate people for their old past, especially when these people suffered the most of all..

  • im sorry guys but this band seems to be finnish! even they are singing russian

  • @plaaplaa68 Indeed it is... and 1917 is the year we got our independence ;)

  • oh God... I barely can uderstand what they sing about... The text doesn't have a lot of value... but the pronunciation is pretty good. This guys doin' great, they should become very popular in russia, no doubt about it :)

  • @GomerSexual oh dude it has a lot a value and it pretty philosophic

  • cojonudo!

  • what happened year 1917? something special? been trying to figure it out but.. anyone more familiar to this could tell me?

  • @Rofllmaolol9 my friend told me that there were a russian soldier who commited suicide in his house, since he´s whole family had died, and he were disapointed on the government for not helping his family so, before he shot himsilf he placed mines in the house, when the commissar and the other officers would come to the house to get him they all died.

    sorry for bad english.

  • @sunlol93 Finland became independent.

  • @Rofllmaolol9 there was 2 revolutions in this year.

  • @Rofllmaolol9 Finland got it's Independance that year =) And commusits took over in Russia

  • @Rofllmaolol9 revolution dude

  • @RichardTaylor1800 -It seems that you don't like the russian language very much, huh? However this song is fucking awesome no metter of language and the finnish bands always make good metal music.

  • @MetalHeavens14 No, I like Russian quite a bit. I find Slavic languages very interesting, not to mention enjoyable to listen to. But fact of the matter is, Russian is a great language to be downtrodden in.

  • They sing in Russian because it's more depressed, and less ludicrously structured than Finnish.

If you want to say exactly what you mean, you speak English. If you want to speak to your lover, you speak French. If you want to make someone suicidally depressed, you speak Russian. And if you want to talk to your dog...you speak German.

  • @RichardTaylor1800 haha :) I agree with your description of the French language :) I might also add, that if you want to compose the most carefully detailed speech, you speak Hungarian :)

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with German though...

  • @bkemeny92 Absolutely. :P

Nothing wrong with German, no. It's the most commanding language out there, really.

  • vitun hyvä...melko selkiästi kuvaa itärajan tuon puoleisia touhuja

  • @mrTikku I agree.

  • russian letter «У» looks better than latin «Y» )

  • I am very interested in Russian culture and language.Hail them!

  • one stringed bass FTW

  • I dont know why so many people are surprised they sing in Russian once Finland and Russia are neighbours. Actually, a train travel between Helsinki and St. Pettersburg takes only 2,5 hours...

  • @paolocito btw Finland used to be part of Russian Empire =)

  • @Alkonaft007 Indeed!

  • I can imagine how hard it can be for a finnish guy to sing in russian but he sings! I understand every word because I am russian and I am deeply impressed how good that guy sings... of course I notice that russian is not the language he speaks in everydays life, but still it is incredibly good... RESPECT!

  • pretty good lyrics and vocals. There are much more stupid lyrics in some Russian bands, so Kypck is not that bad.

I also want to express my huge respect to this guys because they sing in Russian despite they are finns. Russians don't sing in finnish, so we have to respect this finns.

  • @amirkhabib Ha! Try Kauan, a Russian band with songs in both languages. It's a doom-ish/folk-ish/post rock-ish band, fantastic music and lyrics.

  • @heavendissection thanks, I gave it a try - sounds nice!

  • @amirkhabib That's not true. А lot of russians in Karelian republic learn karelian-finnish language in sing it.. :^)

  • Can anyone tell my what the lyrics are about?

    I cant understand russian

  • @Schafeo

"I go to America to start a new life, I shall quit my homeland, I am a stranger everywhere"

  • @zhev8

Thank you for translation *Thumbs Up*

Personally, I liked this band. Although I was somewhat surprised when I heard the Finnish band singing in Russian. About the lyrics i do not agree, many Russian bands lyrics more primitive.

  • Awesome

  • I think The Band is from Finland even though they sing in russian.

  • @Juzze1983 They are from Finland.

  • gosh, briliant voice and sound, stupid lyrics

  • russian is perfect for metal

  • j'm trop cette chanson ^^

    les guitares déchirent O_O great!

  • grim.

  • Amazing stuff. Russian sounds incredible.

  • yes, lyrics is not good for me as for russian

  • "Y" please. The video is totally sick.I love it.

  • Kursk

  • Definitely loving this band. My girlfriend got me into them and I'm glad she did. Great music.

  • There's no such a language hard to learn. I'm spanish native speaker, but I speak fluently french, german, swedish, pretty much of finnish and russian.

Languages... they all depend on the energy, illusion and effort you put on then... then everything comes. Music helps a lot ;)

    Salud.

  • Well, this is very much like some old school, traditional doom metal bands. Many people consider only death/doom or funeral doom to be "doom metal", which is very far from truth. One needs to consider the origins of doom, set by the first Black sabbath albums: simple riffing structures, low tuning, slow guitarplay. And KYPCK sounds a lot like that, therefore it is some sort of doom. The genre has grown out of strict classifications. I should know, been in metal for 21 years, 15 of those in doom.

  • I hate it when people think that funeral and death -doom are the TRUE doom. They are far from the truth. Reverend Bizarre and Electric Wizard are the true doom. People should know that.

  • Sentenced perfected goth/doom metal.

  • @smrdljivogovnogolemo

  • I think it's pretty doom'ish. I feel kinda reminded of Mirror Of Deception, don't know why.

Great stuff, but... why does a finnish band sing in russian? I have no problems understanding it since I'm russian myself, just wondering...

... anyway, its great! Sami was great in Sentenced and I really have to get my hand on an album of this guys!

  • read this fast because soon will be with -6 raiting

so how much copies they can sale out with finish?

    and how much with russian?

the diffrence is something like 50 000 000

    :)))

  • Atleast not traditional doom.

The most legendary finnish doom bands are absolutely: Reverend Bizarre, Spiritus Mortis and Minotauri.

  • Awesome. Greets from Poland ;-]

  • this is an amazing son, i feel abandoned just hearing it. sucks to be nayone who live through it

  • Awsome!!

if someone duno what is 1917, its the year of Russian revolution, when the king was killed and soviets took the leadership... that year just braked the country.... im realy sorry that happened :(

  • you mean the Tsar was killed.. ;] and by the way, in 1917 he wasn't killed but he abdicated.. it's in 1918 that he was killed by the Bolsheviks..

  • yuh i know, i just dunwant to wash ppl brain)) i can write 1000 lines about it :)

  • Awesome song. \m/

  • ...after i watched this vid i love them even more. this was beautiful!

  • <3

this music makes me want to learn Russia. i just love this band, and this album, and this song!

  • Good luck. I've been working on it for two years. it's a really difficult language for us english speakers... =)

  • haha, well.. i'm from finland but i think its hard for us too :D

  • if your talking about russian then yeah its really tough for us english speakers =P ive also been working on it and its still as hard as it was when i first started lol

  • Funeral Rain Zine's Video of the Day, October 3, 2009.

  • pretty good video. aika hyvä video

  • no one knows what is happening

with the country of with me...

oh what are we getting into?

and after some years who will remember

who was right an who betrayed?

and besides I won´t be around...

  • heres the english lyrics. enjoy!

    all my brothers have dissapeared

the streets are empty the streetlights out

no reasons in sight nor heard

suddenly my life just has no meaning no goal

    escaping to America

to start a new life there

    after leaving my motherland

    I am an outcast everywhere

    an alien

  • Pretty bad ass.

  • I love this sound, it's so desolate. It must be the language and the bass. I feel strangely sad when I listen to it; it transcends the fact that I don't understand it, I don't have to understand the language to understand it's mood.

  • Love this!! Don't know what it's telling about but it doesn't matter! Sounds good! x)

  • i think the lyrics in russian put a sad and cold touch to the music

  • the guitarist of this band is sami of sentenced , they are sounds good but i wish its english lyrics

  • lol. When I saw the title of this song, for a second I thought it was saying the band was from 1917.

  • Quite nice, now in english :-)

  • Listen to Alexi Laiho singing in Russian? Or what.

  • it's very moving

  • Naively doesn't mean simple it means naively.))

I'll try too explain.Their lyrics perfectly demonstrate their vision ov Russia but unfortunately it's far from real. It sounds like the song ov guys from pre-revolutional Russia and music is similar with russian romances a bit. It's beatiful, but as I've said before it's naively.)

  • i've never thought about it, but now it seems pretty obvious to me:

russian language + doom = a devilish mixture. just wow.

  • Oh good thought ) But for me ( I'm russian) their lyrics is naively a bit and I think that russian isn't suitable for metall at all.

  • privet,

Russian is one of my native languages too :) and i don't think that their lyrics sound naive. look, lyrics should not be dreadfully sophisticated, it is more about interplay between music and words than a piece of poetry.

  • Half Right,

I am dutch, for me, this is quite good it fits the music greatly for my ears, i dont understand even one word of it.

Now if there is DUTCH metal it wouldnt fit me thats your problem.

    But its niice :-)

  • haha, you're so right

  • There's always the people that think their language isn't good for some music. I think it's pretty sad to hear, because the most boring and corny language in the world is English. It's just used so much, you start to expect everything in it. There's a saying "No one can be prophet in their own land.". I think it's true.

In Finnish perspective this pretty far is the picture of russia and it's history. There is alot of anger and even fear, but also alot of respect and sympathy.

  • I absolutely agree, English is so boring. I think it's the sound; it doesn't have a flowing rhyme-scheme like other languages.

  • @Sethae And don't forget that this kind Metal has been created in Finland, Sweden or Norvege.

  • @Sethae

Some people of Finland are russian tho' they have finnish names. And this perspective of russia was (unfortunately) the real situation there...

  • I LOVE this band.

  • Great doom metal band, great video!

  • XD wicked vidio

  • I'm amazed at how fluent Erkki Seppanen's Russian is. I'm from there originally and can understand the lyrics--and his accent is hardly noticeable! Great band.

  • cuold you translate little bit this song? maybe the main idea ....

  • well, it begins like 'all my fellows disappeared, the streets are empty, there's no sense in my life', and the chorus is like 'i'm going to america, i'm leaving my homeland to begin a new life, i'm a stranger everywhere'. and the second verse is 'nobody knows what's going to be with me and with our country - where are we going?', 'who knows what is true or false, who will know it in the future - I will not be there'. something like that. sorry, i'm not a translator, but i hope it helps.

  • His Russian is not only 'understandable', but also amazingly expressive.

Actually, he has an accent, but it sounds even more expressive like that: 'Vsie mAAi bratia ischezli', 'pAAmerkshye fAAnariy', 'prYchin ne vidno, ne slyshno' et cetera, isn't it? :)

  • awesome band i love this song i can stop listening this bands need to come to argentina more often!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome music!!! please somebody send me more bands names like this!! i need to download lots of this music.

  • Try Viikate. It's not doom or anyhting, but it's as dark.

  • Good song, stupid video...

How America links with homeless guy?

  • Dig a little deeper, my friend... :)

  • The video is about the Soviets mistreating the people within the Union, it has nothing to do with america.

  • that's right.

  • ahujetj ni statj O_O

  • wow... finnish group O_o... Respect!!!

  • everybody is from finnland

  • One of the best songs Ive heard in a while

  • Is it a real Russian vodka or Finish pontikka? Or is it just a water?Hey, they have a dry law!

    *Strange assotiation with communism*

  • lisää bassoo, kunno doomia eikä mitään pilipali meininkiä

  • I should tell you, that you has a really fine language, but toooooo difficult to learn.Could you repeat your phrase in English, please?

  • too melodic, I like my DOOM with DOOM METAL ELEMENTS like BASS, nowadays it seems many metal bands have lost their balls

  • Most exciting band Ive heard in a very long time. Im actually going to buy the album, something I havent done in a long time.

  • it's very interesting to me - what do you think about their lyrics?

  • Hel-vet-in hyvää. Parasta suomalaista heviä pitkään aikaan.

  • wtf

  • Russian language fits KYPCK's songs perfectly. this band is awesome.

  • Wonderful music :)

  • This song just wouldn't be the same in any other language :)

  • approve that! +1

  • it`s awesome

  • )))

  • OK are they ANTI OR PRO Soviet BAND ???

  • Well. They are pro-russian. I would call them Slavophils.

  • As I see it, they're both. We always love and hate our neighbours. It sounds really good and seems like a mixture of Finnish mentality and stereotypes of Russia.

  • you're so right!

  • I think they havent ever thought of stuff like that.. They just wanted to play something very radical, and what would be more, than doom metal in russian!

  • :-D yes but they are from finnland ;D also when they make it in russian

  • Isn't only only one member (singer, ithink) from finnland?

  • All the members in this band are from Finland.

  • kk ty

  • Sami Lopakka (the guitarist of KYPCK was also the guitarist of Finland's Sentenced (R.I.P. Miika)...

  • love plucking...

  • Love this song! Have to get this x)

  • Ya tozhe! KRUTO!!!!!!

  • just look at the homepage of the band. If you don't speak Russian, you should buy the record.

  • anyone know where i can find the lyrics for this song?

  • they remind me of rammstein

  • rammstein is shit in comparing to KYPCK
