If you are saying that whenever someone had a sore throat, he/she should stop exercising because it could be the flu, then you might be asking too much. People could have sore throat for many different reasons. Anyway, even if he didn't exercise, he might still have died if his immune system couldn't handle the virus.

Also, it's true that the fever can inhibit viral replication. However, it could become dangerous if the fever went up too high. A person could die from high fever.

I went to see the doctor who told me that my symptoms are consistent with the swine flu. I had high fever, headache, sore throat, stuffy nose, and it took about 2 weeks to recover.

Also, most people who want the H1N1 vaccine still can't get it unless they are in one of the at-risk groups: pregnant women, very young children, health care providers

BAD idea! Taking someone else's meds is very dangerous, far more than the flu. Anti-virals like tamiflu are dangerous for young people, can cause suicidal tendencies. Little kids have jumped off balconies in Japan on that stuff.

Best thing to do with flu is do NOT take anti-fever meds. Fever inhibits flu virus replication. Deaths are often caused by drugs, not the virus itself. Fever itself is not dangerous. Look it up.

Well I never took the meds, I went to the ER and tested negative. Im on advil right now, but whenever Im not I feel so horrible I cant even move my fingers. I still have a fever though. Also, I took a long bath and that helped me relax. Overall, Ive had about 14 hours of sleep in the past 24 hours. On Monday if im not okay Ill go back to the doctor and get another test =/
