  • what the fuck?!

  • So cute! This is one HIPSTER kitteh! :3

I'm sure she's like, "Drinking like other cats? Meh, too mainstream."

  • my question isn't why she does that, but how she does that! that looks so acrobatic!!

  • Sooooo, adorable..gotta love cats <3

  • It took a while for me to understand what was going on. Where was the beggining and the end of the cat. hahaha

  • Too much cute! My cats have a Drinkwell fountain to drink from, though they still demand the faucet or a bowl occasionally. I can't imagine what this Baby might do if faced with flowing water. Does she have any interest in the sink?

  • @onekinkstar : She does not really have any interest in the sink at all... I suppose that's not too surprising given her drinking posture!

  • 17years!? seriously why!?

she's a funny cat but still cute.

  • @amabileamabile, WHAT do you mean by saying, "17years!? seriously why!?"

  • she is a crazy but i love her

  • 可能是怕喝水的樣子被偷窺吧~真可愛 ^__^

  • 怪貓怪貓!!~~^___^

  • haha its so cute

  • This is hilariously strange. I lol'd.

  • Probably from when she was a baby drinking mommy's milk, got used to have the protection of the leg over her so that's what she does. Just feels right. Maybe, I dunno.

  • looking pretty good for a 17 year old!

  • She's protecting her head.

  • You have one awesome cat. XD Even looks like my old cat.

  • This reminds me of how my mother always tells me not to drink from a water fountain or straight from the faucet because someone could come up behind me, bop me on the head, and knock my front teeth out. Maybe this cat's mother always told her the same thing.

  • Nice video, nice cat! ;-)

  • She's very sweet.

  • this actually is a bit cleaver to do, let me explain: cats do have problem seeing the level of the water, so they use theyr feet, but if they use one of the frontal foots its so mutch pressure for the other frontal foot, so she found a way to eliminate the stress

  • @kubbur87 So she's using reflection to guide her to the surface of the water. That makes sense... thanks for the insight!

  • @kubbur87 Yeah, but she really only started this recently. She didn't do this as a younger cat. Only since she moved in w/ 3 strange cats. I really thinks its a protective move.

Besides, with her rear leg int eh air, there is more pressure on her front feet.

  • @detoth67 It doesn't make sense unless she's lost much of her hearing, very common in older cats. With their excellent hearing and ability to contort their ears even more than their bodies, she'd be able to hear another cat approaching in plenty of time to defend the water, or, much more likely, leave to avoid conflict.

Covering her ears/head makes sense if she's lost a lot of hearing and feels defenseless with her head in the bowl, unable to see, and now unable to hear, anything approaching.

  • @MarlinBOSA She hasn't lost her hearing. We have another cat that has a bad habit of pushing other cats away from their bowls. She seems to be creating an impenetrable fortress.

  • @kubbur87 She is protecting her head.

  • haha what a weird cat

  • rofl -- das ist mal ne verrückte katze. #fb

  • Eat your heart out, Ted Striker.

  • @TheoIsTheGreatest

    Surely you can't be serious!

  • @TheoIsTheGreatest Literally laughed my ass of at the Ted Striker reference!

  • Very flexible for 17 years!

  • All cats have their own weirdness of some sort.... this one is no exception LOL!

  • What an eccentric cat! XD

  • Comment removed

  • why do you do that?

"Why do I do that? So you can put on youtube! Gotcha wondercat!"

  • cat is awesome!!! :D hahaha

  • i would not give her 17 years, maybe 17 months :) but funny video

  • She's so YOUnique and adorable.

  • yes!.. awesome cat!!

  • I want to see a video of her setting up to drink, this is just bizarrely funny.

  • @unstablejoker I'll try and catch her setting up, but it's kind of hard... as kitties go, she really likes her privacy. She's a sweetie, though!

  • @findeerror what a cute cat :D how about you set up your cam where she drinks and run the cam for a day. You might catch her setting up. gl

  • Incredible!!

  • Maybe she has trouble keeping her neck down at an angle and uses her foot to hold it there. Muscle problem?

  • Your cat and I have something in common. Good day.

  • i was so damn confused until the cat moved

  • @frankensteinhernbat - Me too! I couldn't figure it out until she was done and moved her head... lol

  • my preesioussss

  • this is so precious

  • thats bizarre but further proves just how unique cats can be.

  • probably nursed like that.. my guess

  • I tend to put my foot in my water when I drink too, it keeps all those other pesky humans away!

  • drug addict
