If anybody reads the whole chapter of Mathew 24 it sums up the rapture debate. It is very clear from scripture that the rapture happens at the Lords return. That rules out the possibility that Peter believed he would be "raptured". As for the "wrath" which we're "not appointed to" (1 Thess 5:9), Paul was indeed referring to the DOTL. However, a read of Matthew 24:29 and Acts 2:20 clearly shows that the sequence is trib-->heavenly signs-->DOTL, so the "wrath" we're not appointed to the post-trib DOTL.

If anybody reads the whole chapter of Mathew 24 it sums up the rapture debate. It is very clear from scripture that the rapture happens at the Lords return. I thoroughly recommend anyone who wants to get under the real meanings within the bible refer to Chucks' research. Unlike 99.9% of people on here he knows his stuff and has done his homework!

Since Harold Camping's "prediction" of the rapture happening yesterday and all the hate messages aimed at him on YT; it makes me wonder how pre-trib rapture preachers and teachers are going to fare when the tribulation actually begins... That rules out the possibility that Peter believed he would be "raptured". As for the "wrath" which we're "not appointed to" (1 Thess 5:9), Paul was indeed referring to the DOTL. However, a read of Matthew 24:29 and Acts 2:20 clearly shows that the sequence is trib-->heavenly signs-->DOTL, so the "wrath" we're not appointed to the post-trib DOTL.

1)The Lord said that there is only one resurrection of all believers "at the last day" (John 6:39,40) Paul reiterated this in 1 Cor 15:22-24. Peter reiterated it in 1 Peter 1:7. John reiterated it in Revelation 20:4.
2)Nowhere does Scripture say that the Lord takes us to Heaven after we meet Him in the air (not John 14:1-3; not 1 Thess 4; not Revelation 4:1; nowhere).

Daniel 9:27 is a prophecy about Jesus, the one who confirms the New Covenant with many for a week, but is suddenly cut off, by way of crucifiction. @UltimateWarrior65 You are WRONG. The Messiah is "cut off" KILLED in Daniel 9:26 Prophecy of 70 weeks (of years) NOT fulfiled. "He" in Daniel 2:27 is the antichrist. You've got a lot of reading to do. He's also in Daniel 11:36-45 plus about 50 more references.

Obviously because Jesus sacrifice is the ultimate sacrifice that puts an end to the useless Old Testament sacrificial system. You are incorrect that Daniel says this "He" will set up the abomination. It does not. It merely says it will take place after.

The problem with separating the rapture from the 2nd Advent is that there is absolutely no Biblical warrant for it. Those that teach this fallacy are simply guided by their traditions, and not a systematic exegesis of the key Biblical texts that speak about Jesus' 2nd Advent.

@TheEndtymsnatzal I'm not sure Enoch and Elijah and Moses had the same things happen to them, they were not born again, and Jesus hadn't died before that time. Plus the rapture comes with clear sign of light in the sky, as Jesus said it will look like lightning on the horizon. I imagine it like a lightning bolt from pole to pole circling the earth.

I did some digging to try to find out about peopel who were " Taken or Missing, after Jesus ascention, I think it was 2-4 hundred peopel several years after, 30 or so. I cannot find it. This Historical account is only that, it's not fact, I sure wish Chuck could give us his take on this. I believe In the rapture-pre trib. I also belive that many raptures have happend over time, Enoch, Elijah, and Moses just disappeared into the mountain, Who knows how many others we don't know of, G-d took

There is a rapture and NO rapture.....I believe Christians will go & some will stay...Mocking Christians, who doubt and aren't watching will remain, WHY.?
