  • Looove this song. Moz you are the best !

  • i dont mind when you come round, it is the day-time when might be in bed.

  • i am happy now

  • "i'm so veryyy young!

"i am so really really youuunnng"

  • It sounds like Karma Cameleon!! ( a bit ).

  • this was supposed to be on viva hate. but was ditched becuase it becuase it was deemed not a good fit on the albulm

  • WoW

  • Wow, this sounds fantastic. I think thoug, if this was released on Viva Hate it would sound very much like I Don't Mind If You Forget Me.

  • Yess...very nice!

  • Wasn't this released as a single by Sandie Shaw? I'm sure I remember owning a copy!

  • correct, it was reeased as a single from her '88 album, 'hello angel'

  • How could Morrissey not have released this?!

  • @HangTheDJ16

nooooooo idea.. It's an AMAZING song and the lyrics as well. This version is also really cool. Sandie shaw... my dear lord she was/is beautiful.

  • i actually have the sandie shaw 12" for this song (as released by her alone) and i think its quite good, sorta has a northern soul vibe ..the copyright is 1988

  • both versions are beautiful

  • This is a The Smiths demo?

  • From passionsjustlikemine

"This song has yet to appear on a Morrissey album. It was written during the sessions for "Viva Hate" but Morrissey never released his version. However Sandie Shaw did release a version as a single and on her "Hello Angel" album."

  • Hay Nice post dizzy I've never heard this song befor. It's got that bouncy melody he's used quite a bit since going solo....He's done some great stuff since going solo but the diversity he had with Marr isn't there as much !

  • Apologies to stormeroffer2, I deleted your post by accident (can YouTube not provide an 'are you sure' button?)

But yes it's a real shame that Morrissey has never officially allowed this song to surface. One of his finest moments is left in obscurity.

  • Yes, this would have been a fantastic single! Why was it never released?!

    Damn, it's fucking class!

  • ill just keep on letting you make conjectures and overexagerate everything i say. i just know in the end, your wrong:-)

  • for your information i wasnt banging on about anything i was just stating my opinion. and also i believe there is no official version of this song because it was suppose to be released on viva hate but it never did, it was never was a rough sketch of a song not yet mastered, hence why i use the word demo version. so stop banging on about how much you supposedly know and stop being a dick. oh and this song and the solo morrissey one arent exactly the same. listen closely

  • LonEliness...

  • Damn, and I'm usually quite careful with online spelling.

In penance I will not correct anyone else for three weeks.

  • sounds christmassy lol

  • the demo version of this song is better than any other version of this song.

  • ahem... Sandie is Morrissey´s idol. Did you know that?

  • i love the moz solo version without sandiein the baccking vocals none the less i love this rarity

  • fantastic!! a hidden gem from sir moz

  • this was last september when he was performing at the hollywood palladium check morrissey-solo for his setlists for the nights if i remember he played it a couple of nights and i just want this track bc its such a nice track

  • could you email me this track please he's been playing this when i saw in hollywood last fall

  • Really?! I've never heard of him performing this...ever.

    What dates exactly?

  • I saw him in all of last year in the Southern California at every venue and I know that he did not perform this song. It would have caught my attention.

  • True I never heard him ever sing this song. Ahh to have been to all of Morrissey concerts since day one and to hve seen The Smiths 4 times :o)

  • I have - through my stupidity - deleted someone's comment. They asked when it was recorded, from what I have been able to find out it's from around the Viva Hate period so 1988ish...

  • You are right it does work well as a duet. A great Moz tongue in cheek type of song.

  • Thanks for posting this. I've only ever heard the Sandie Shaw solo version. This is great.

  • Works much better as a duet I think.

I also think this is one of Morrissey's funniest songs.

  • This should've been Morrissey's EuroVision entry :-p
