Think many are over thinking this video. The concept is pretty clear and sadly aside from those posting comments here there are a lot of people who are just not savy and you do have to talk to them like they are 10. That said it seems to be easier to manage than Goggle+ and I can appreciate the full control of privacy that is sorely lacking on FB. Might be worth a look see when they are ready to roll out fully vs test mode.
