  • And this is how the Bloody Magpies started, stealing the pieces of the Avatar.

  • one of my favorite parts of Dawn of War II was all the references and callbacks to the Kronus campaign.

  • Continued: Oh and it sucks to be the traitor Guardsmen. They turned against the regement in hopes of being spared only to be killed by the Blood Ravens anyway :)

  • In a way the Blood Ravens seem to be just as secretive as the Dark Angels though Blood Ravens wouldn't be as brutal. According to the Dark Angels codex some servitors in their army are innocent bystanders who unknowingly witnessed the Chapter on a secret Mission and are turned into servitors to ensure they never speak about what they saw and of course the Blood Ravens don't want the Imperial Guard on Kronus so they don't speak of the secrets tied to the Blood Ravens chapter.

  • Holy shit, Gordian was in Dark Crusade?

  • @Zeredek Yes, he was a veteran of the Kronus campaign.

  • music is a bit loud in this vid, altho its awesome music. Can't really hear what the dude is saying sometimes =(

  • Haha wow, the IG part is fucked up

  • Chief Librarian : *Stops examining a piece of the Avatar*

Chief Librarian : Hmmm, I wonder what this piece of the Avatar is, its long, and blackened.

Another Librarian : Ummmm, that's the Avatar's penis.

  • @NoSpyHere LOLLLLLL O GOWAD FUNNY

  • Blood ravens we're always my Favourite Race c:

  • @Napoleum Blood Ravens are no race :/ Blood Ravens are a chapter of the Space Marines, and Space Marines are also not a race lol They are humans.

  • @comedodesalsicha I know. But space marines are a race, in the game. As in a choseable faction, might say. But irl they are not cause they are humans yes, but by irl I mean like really they aren't a race. Thanks anyway but I know it.

  • thule is badass

  • if you're confused about the lore, simple, go to lexicanum (warhammer wiki) and read up on it. too many people posting about the lore without knowing what the hell they're talking about. and thanks ride4ruin for that solid bit of lore. I wonder if we'll find out more about the Old Ones anytime soon...

  • Now it makes sense of course that the black artifacts they found on demos peninsula were not taken to the librarium to be destroyed. Kyras wanted them.

  • @Revan085 That makes sense. I never thought of it that way! :O

  • what happened on rahaes paradise

  • -- Thule's service record:

    Chaos: Found them, killed them.

    Eldar: Found them, killed them.

    IG: Found them, killed them.

    Orks: Found them, killed them.

    Necrons: Found them, killed them.

    Tau: Found them, killed them.

    Tyranids: Found them, killed them.

    -- Boreale's service record:

IG: Found them (and the Baneblades), got killed. Failed the Emprah.

  • @DreamingAboutDragons Yeah screw Boreale, everything was going great until he fucked up and killed half the chapter.

  • This music is from Crimson Tide. Lol. :D

  • i heard the Blood Ravens where created by the techpriests from the gene seed of (NOT GOING TO TELL)

  • @JLORD300 thousand suns? I heard they were descended from one of the heretic legions from the H.H. anywhere close?

  • Comment removed

  • @DJTRANCENDENCE Its JLORD300 new acc> yea i saw it on a page once it said it right there Thousand sons whiich makes sence becasue they have alot of psykers same with the pre heresy thousand sons

  • too bad 5th company of the imperial guard in dark crusade got executed

  • Boy, what do y'all think happens when the narrator orders some fast food? :P

  • @Hlhud I don't know what would happen, but I guarentee you it would be epic

  • Oh hey wow Apothecary Gordian isn't that the same guy from Dawn of War 2?

  • Yep

  • this is amazing

  • @Foolfyer All the characters in Dawn of War II are from the previous games.

  • Victory over death!

I just love that line, when the Space Marines crush the foul, soulless hordes.

  • So this is canonical according to DoW2.

To think Thule ended as a dreadnought there...

  • aye , rly sad :(

  • Actually, The Blood Ravens defeating ALL 6 races seems, a little difficult to believe :/

Is there anything like another race defeating a race and the blood ravens defeating that race?

  • lol today everywhere i look i see/hear a song by hanz zimmer

  • Though on Rehe's Paradise The Eldar were more allys then enemies to the Blood Ravens. So why he says they were traitors on Rahes Paradise i could not say. And Many of the Blood Raven's Victory's were because of either intelligance or physical help through battle from the eldar

  • if eldar help ravens mysteriously were to use them..tha'ts how manipulating begins?..if eldar didn't be stubborn to use organic beings..its that the humans were smilairty to eldar..eldar are elf-humonids right..humans are fresh and blood..if only eldar seek unity and peace same as Tau ambition..Tau,Eldar and SM+IMP will destroy Chaos and Necrons..and ork will be last..disbanded without cheiftains =D..and Eldar could have rebuiled their craftworld after the war, greater good upon humandity

  • and Dark eldar will be no match for the uprsing of the Eldar..but hopefully eldar helps SM and SM reliease that not all emenies are evil..that the Emperor might be right about 'truce of alliance'

  • @cutiepe2ce

Unfortunately, the Eldar and the Imperium can't ally with anyone. The Imperium's bad experiences with aliens causes them to view all of the as enemies, which the Eldar contribute to because they consider all life in the universe inferior.

  • ever after reading the CS Goto Blood Ravens Omnibus, i've seen alot of things in the book. EG. Rahe's Paradise.

  • Please, i would be very very thankful if anybody tell me the name of the song used in this video

  • Music: Crimson Tide - 05 - Roll Tide

  • Thanks for your answer deadly :)

Hans zimmer is amazing, but i didnt know this is one of his songs.

I like this style of music ^^

  • Your welcome. And i like this music it goes very well with each diffrent faction and the narraitors vioce

  • Ty so much for that,i searched for the name of that song so long <3

  • Anyone noticed ever since DC the afater action reports for the Blood ravens have always got the Horus Heresy in it.

  • According to Lexicanum, this is the canonical series of events on Kronus, except for the fact that Governor Alexander survived the fall of Victory Bay. Alexander would later be killed by Shas'O'res'ka on Kaurava III.

  • Nope they just used the same charachter model for the guy in SS thats all.

  • It wasn't Governor Alexander, it was General Vance Stubbs.

  • I was referring to the Soulstorm intro cinematic.

  • But then Shas'O O'res'ka wouldn't have killed him and it wouldn't be canonical.

  • It wasn't Gevornar Olixoondaer, it was Ginarool Vonce Stribbs.

  • learn to spell noob

  • If you don't know the meaning of lolitrollu, then I'm not the newfag here, and besides, only newfags call others newfags.

May I just say, lurk moar fgt.

  • I'm a tripfag, your point is invalid. I don't raid, your point is invalid. I hate Chanology, your point is invalid.

Get off the internet, silly waste of carbon.

  • @Lolcatering I retract that statement, the model of Lukas Alexander was ONLY used in the opening. And Stubbs never dies.

  • how does a space marine become a Chaplin?

  • that never made sense to me, why do humans fight humans (Not imperiumvschaos, imperiumvsimperium)

  • I think is because both had order to take planet. Blood Ravens ordered Guard to retreat from planet while they purge it. Also they couldn't allow planets secrets to fall anyone else. As for guard leaving would go directly against their orders. And in Imperium not following orders kills you.

  • good point.

  • Well... not really, you see in most circumstances Imperials cooperate. The reason of fighting together in his game is easier - it's a game. People who produced it just made an excuse to make you controll whole globe, cause it would have been bit unfair to face rest of planet with allies

  • Not really beucase the eldar may team with the tau and the other 3 factions would fight amougest them selves

  • Slaanesh raped almost all eldar gods. The Emperor stood alone against all four and defeated them.

    Emperor>Chaos>Eldar pansy gods.

The Eldar empire would have been absolutly no match for the Legions and Primarchs.

  • It's not quite the same. Khaine and all those other dudes actually battled with a newborn Slaanesh, who in that moment of birth was hideously strong. The Emperor did battle with Horus who was pumped with a lot of their energies. A lot of people say OMG HORUS WAS AS STRONG AS ALL 4 CHAOS GODS but I don't think even a Primarch's body is capable of holding that much power. The Emperor is damned strong, but old Eldar Empire vs Pre-Heresy Imperium... ah, that's a tough one...

  • Pre heresy Imperium gets my support and vote

  • "Cut off from the Emperor's light, all together".

I can't imagine being cut off from the Emperor's light even when there's a power surge! But then again, I'm not a Space Marine.

  • Wow, massive lack of fluff knowledge here, since nobody seems to recognize that the Terran expansion during the Dark Age of Technology made practically every other alien race in the galaxy subservient to them.

  • You're both wrong, nobody is right.

  • i think taldiers end by the ravens was kinder that the ig end, as the ig handed her over to the inquisition, she would face terrible torture there, but it will teach her to attack humanity

  • Personally I think she or Eliphas should have won. They always came up with better banter than Thule.

  • true, true but i just wish eldar werent enemies with humanity

  • Why wouldn't they fight humanity? The Imperium would like nothing more than to wipe them out purely for the 'crime' of being xenos. And besides, they pretty much are condemned to do nasty things in order to preserve their dying race. Starting the Second War for Armageddon to save ~50,000 Eldar who would have died otherwise (a sizable chunk of their species) for example. And besides, it's not as if humanity would ever listen to the Eldar if they bothered to sit down and try to talk things out.

  • te soul drinkers chapter would, LOOK EM UP, cos their primarch went into the warp but didnt go evil, he just got mutated and if the eldar werent there he couldve died, so he likes them

  • But if you'll remember Sarpedon and his lot were declared excommunicate tratoris. And no, he wasn't their "primarch," that would be Rogal Dorn because the Soul Drinkers are a second founding Imperial Fists chapter. And while Sarpedon didn't go evil when he was mutated some other Soul Drinkers did, Tellos for instance.

Besides, a single understrength chapter in an Imperium of trillions is hardly a good example of humanity's willingness to sit down and talk.

  • Under strength? you have that wrong, they are one of the strongest known but they are a rare, dying chapter that IS willing to negotiate terms

  • Understrength because they've fought two chapter wars, are cut off from mechanicus resupply, and have to recruit via unreliable means (the incident with Eumenes being a good example of the utter disaster that it can result in). Sure they have a ton of stuff from the Brokenback, but they don't actually know how any of it really works.

They may be willing to talk (and backstab), but when the chips are down they still fight for humanity and only humanity, everyone else be damned.

  • if anyone backstabbed, it was felavier(eldar general), and yes, they do fight for only humanity when it all goes to basics, cos they are human and when have they backstabbed?

  • On Entymion, the Soul Drinkers "allied" themselves with a Dark Eldar warband (both plotting to betray the other) in order to fight against the Crimson Fists. They backstabbed the Imperium in order to survive and then turned around and backstabbed their xenos "allies."

My point with the human argument is that their interests and the interests of the Eldar come into conflict. For the Eldar to survive they sometimes have to screw over humanity, and the Soul Drinkers wouldn't be ok with that.

  • where u gettin this from? i dont ever recall that happening, and they would never, EVER attack another human force, and in the event of a backstabbing, i remember they allied with a small force under the command of felavier(eldar) to kill off some tainted IG but there were about 100,000 guardsmen and about 50 soul, and they needed the eldar to wing the flank but what did they do, screwed humanity over and walked away from their mess,

  • Soul Drinkers Omnibus. After they were declared excommunicate traitoris they fought several Imperium groups, including the Crimson Fists and Howling Griffins space marine chapters. Hell, they wiped out the entire IG group the Griffins were using as cannon fodder in their assault on the Brokenback. They've fought and killed plenty of Imperium soldiers, though they still think of themselves as humanity's defenders.

  • u do realise the whole universal conflict is eldars fault, so in a way, they diserve to be extinct, but the souls gave them a chance, and what did eldar do, let humanity die, as usual

  • "Whole universal conflict"? Hardly. They're empire may have gave birth to Slaanesh but the Craftworld Eldar and Exodites had already abandoned their empire and washed their hands of the mess. The only real remnants of the faction that spawned Slaanesh are the Dark Eldar, but they're another side entirely.

If any one person/group is responsible for the insanity of 40k it's Lorgar and his Word Bearers for turning to the Chaos Gods and corrupting Horus.

  • Bah, it should say "their empire" not "they're empire" in the first line.

  • Where the hell did you get that from? The Tyranids are from another galaxy and have nothing to do with the Eldar. The Orks were creations of the Old Ones, the same people who made the Eldar. The Craftworld Eldar and Exodites washed their hands of the mess well before the birth of Slaanesh, hence why most of them survived the Fall. And even if the soon to be Dark Eldar hadn't made Slaanesh everything STILL would have been screwed up considering Lorgar and his legion were Undivided, not Slaaneshi.

  • @ride4ruin Fun Fact: the Necron god the deciever is actually the Eldar laughing god in disguise.

  • @Hound419 lies this is lies

  • @ride4ruin Dude no matter what I do I can NOT find ANY info or lore on the old ones or the origin of the orks, what do you know about it? plz that question has plagued me like something from nurgle!

  • @DJTRANCENDENCE

The Ancient onces made them. Check up WH40k Lexicanium.

  • And besides, if the old empire had never made Slaanesh then humanity would have remained some minor, unimportant species inhabiting a backwater world beneath the notice of the old empire. Slaanesh's birth is what created the power vacuum that allowed the Imperium to grow into what it was in M31. In a way the Imperium owes its hegemony to Slaanesh.

  • ahem ahem, i dont think humanity minds that, but they dont owe anyone anything cos humanity would grow no matter what, we humans are too strong and ambitious to stay as a single planet, so as i said, the eldar caused all problems and should fix them instead of bothering humanity, humans would make an alliance if eldar didnt fight them

  • Strength and ambition wouldn't have saved them, if the old empire had been around they would have squashed humanity like a bug. The Eldar already have vastly superior technology, now imagine if they had superior numbers to go with it. Also, they are trying to fix the problem, humanity just keeps getting in the way by constantly falling to Chaos and reinforcing it.

And no, humanity would not make an alliance with the Eldar unless circumstances are even more dire than usual, like the Gothic War.

  • ok this is getting stupid so im not bothering continuing a big conversation, oh and they wouldntve stopped humanity at all as the space marines would still murder eldar like...actually no i wont finish that

  • Comment removed

  • oh shut up you

  • ok im gonna clear this up that happened 8 months ago! i have become wiser of the facts. Because you see a friend gave me half this info, then months after rectified what he said, so yeah, this isnt entirely my fault, but ill rectify that i was wrong in this whole mess, now can we leave it at that anyone?

  • ehehehe

  • shut the fuck up! like being controlled? :) D

  • you know there gunna bring out another first person warhammer game

its called "space marine" and it looks ace!

  • space marine is a 3rd person shooter btw :D

  • Who else wants to bet that the Ravens didn't "safely destroy" those Warp artefacts and they are still being "studied" in the Librarium?

  • blood ravens do have a rather addiction to knowledge and information i agree that they are being studied lol but the blood ravens faith would never have them turn against the imperium and if they do ima go murder the guy who made relic

  • "the Blood Ravens' faith would never have them turn against the Imperium".

That's what they said about the Word Bearers too.

  • yeah but the emperor disaproved the word bearers worshipping him as a god so the word bearers betrayal was bought on by the emperor, now that the emperor is on-his-ass-eating-burgers he cant be a threat to Space Marine chapters, however the inquisition took his place

  • the word bears was diffrent

  • @MKllDark4ngel Yeah thats why Kyras (Chapter Master of Blood Ravens) is tainted by choas. Yes Gaberial Angelos started a civil war aginste them but still... the chapter is currupt, to the point where most of the first company are now considered forces of choas.

  • @MKllDark4ngel Eh-heh... Get ready to be charged with murder... Azariah Kyras, chapter master and chief librarian of the blood ravens... Has gone heretical... Luckily Gabriel angelos and the Force commander (among many other in the canon ending) are getting ready to eliminate Kyras and all the other heretics. I hope the next expansion has an epic fight between the loyalists and Kyras :)

  • @ShukakuSleeps worse part is he is a psyker (what`s the space marine psyker called)

  • @KingBowser22 Space marine Psyker= Librarian... It's also what you would never see in the black templar chapter (very agressive hatred of psykers, they even attacked a blood ravens expedition that was lead by librarians) Black templar probably have librarians, just not psychically gifted

  • @ShukakuSleeps yeah the chapter master of the blood ravens is the Cheif Librarian as well not good

  • @KingBowser22 I believe I already stated that... "Azariah kyras, Chapter master and Chief librarian"

  • @ShukakuSleeps oh soory I must have missed it

  • @KingBowser22 and a fucking heretic as well

  • I agree knowledge is the Blood Raven's crack. And like that horrible drug their addiction to knowledge is going to destroy them. As of the Second Kronus War (DOW: Dark Crusade) they are under Inquisitorial observation. Their only saving grace? The Inquisition is watching them and not the Ecclesiarchy. The Inquisition was always a little more secular and practical then the Ecclesiarchy. Even so the Inquisition is one bad mamma jamma.

  • @unsightly thats what I was thinking about this thing.

considering chaos rising now we know.

  • The Imperial Guard were pretty easy to fight except of getting by the Titan becuase if you were not prepared and quick, it would wipe you out.

  • yea, just watch out for there arty on islands and those leave troops idle.

  • the elder were the easiest to take down in dark crusade

  • WHAT??? all the mines and the avatar and the chaos and orks and the ridiculous amount of fire prisms???

  • so what my space marines and land raiders and preditor tanks destroyed all enermys that opposed me on that map

  • I had more than a bit of trouble actually(As Necrons)... Of course I left them for Last.

  • lol when your chaos leave the hardest for last and wait untill your chaos lord is a deamon prince

  • Yeah, he pwns as a daemon prince, I used his might generally on the orks as they are mostly meleers. The prince would keep scattering the orks but only some of them would go back towards him to carry on fighting, for the rest were lying in pools of blood.

  • Blood for the Blood God?

  • Indeed! You can never neglect Khorne's lust for blood!

  • and alas the emperors light will destroy the foul followers of chaos

  • i didn't expect the nova marines were mentioned until I listened closely.

  • dude i wish there was an online warhammer

40.000 game which would look like it would

be in real life with sensors and stuff

  • Imagine a 40k MMORPG game where you would walk around in first person view like Counter-Strike or whatever.... Just too damn awesome!

  • you mean like Republic Commmando??? You see the things on your HUD

  • there is tau firewarrior that is a first person game

  • rly i thought they were a stand alone chapter

  • wtb Black Templars.

  • WTB Titans.

  • Mach Schnell!

  • Knowledge is power, Guard it well!

  • I'm now rather interested in what exactly was meant by the comment that the Avatar's remains would cause 'no small amount of trouble.'

    I mean -there's a story there!

Personal gripe about the game that can be ignored: Why on earth were the Guard given a single heavy weapon team as their new unit? I mean, ratling snipers, rough rider squadrons, just about Leman Russ variant (I loves my Exterminator) - heck, even heavy weapon teams with the *full* range of weapons would have been better.

  • Prolly the Inquisition found out.

  • Maybe to leave it for more expansions :)

  • i think chaos was meant to win i think they had the bset ending it just makes more cence to me than the others but thats my opion you dont have to lisin to me i was just setting my opion cuz that guy down there wanted to know and yeah i think choas was meant to win XD GO! CHOAS! woot! :P

  • This music makes me when to salute the Blood Raven flag and that of the Imperium.

  • The music and his voice makes me wanna play the game

  • awesome series of videos keep up the good work!

(just a side note in the future you could do without adding the backround music it sometimes makes it hard to hear the narration)

  • We'll see.

  • nanana fuck that Music is KICKASS keep keep keep

  • what race is ment to win the game ?

  • it would be nice if in the next game you could pick what chapter you play.

  • nooooooooooooooo, how could you not want to play as blood ravens?

I think if they did that i dont think the story would be as epic

  • look at my name. Now who is that?

  • two words Raven Guard.Or Salamanders.

  • The primarc of the blood angels

  • its primarch

  • Because there is a book, Dawn of War, and it tells about blood ravens

  • why did they chose the blood ravens chapter for dawn of war?

  • because of captain Davian Thule, captain Gabriel and Brother Tanthius.(Dawn of War fan) haha.....

  • Gabriel was the man, this everyone knows. Thule was a fool he needed three companies for what took Gabriel one to accomplish. Lukas Alexander was half the man Sturn was. But Sturn didn't rape Taldeer upon victory so...

  • hahaha! Good one! Alexander would definitely do that. He was such a pompous bastard.

  • Man... you really know wich kind of music fits every raco or cutscene... Do u ever considered doing this professionaly?? (It's no t that I'm offering you a job, lol, but still you have good eye, ear & associative image/sound imagination).

  • I hope they bring back Gabriel damn i miss that guy. :(
