  • I can do that with my screwdriver!

  • What happens if the handle chipps or breaks (as if)? do they sell replacements?

  • @SlapChopDj contact customer services. They are always happy to help

  • Didn't these things cost $20 in 94' ?

  • Hi, Billy Mays here with the Cold Steel Vietnam Tomahawk.

  • It is strangely difficult (or even impossible) to find any information about tomahawks really having been used during the Vietnam war. If you google it, all you get is info on the "Vietnam Hawks" that are sold since 2001 or so, but I could not find any historical information. I didn't even find a single picture of a soldier in Vietnam holding or carrying a tomahawk. Could it be the whole thing is just a myth? Does anybody here have hard historical facts?

  • He's a Ninja!

  • I have 2 in my collection one is from vietnam that my uncle carried and the other was bought from cold steel for personal protection in coyote country.

  • can taking a pis!?

  • 1:21 "This is for parking on my spot AGAIN! Sincerely: Your Neighbor"

  • I have this tomahawk and like it very much.If people got problems with the grip.Put some 'hockeytape'or that leather stuff what's on tennis rackets around it.Many ways to solve it if you find the grip to slick. For me the grip is just fine.I'll pump the sharp tip into anything sans une problem .Don't underestimate this kind of tomahawk(uhm, video speaks for itself).Read about Low Dog .This guy killed two men in battle being only 14.He never went anywhere without his tomahawk..Great stuff

  • So how is the m48 compared to this for throwing, chopping, camping, hiking, pretty much everything? I would go for trail head cause i has blunt hammer, but it's too heavy.

  • Hey Rick! can i borrow your car keys?...why?....just need to borrow something for a demo

  • that guy is lucky who was striking the barrel that it didnt fly of and rebound at him in the face

  • can i work for you???

  • Is that Anthony De Longis throwing the Tomahawk?

  • @serpentinear86 Already exists, its called the Lagana Vietnam Tactical Hawk.......Made by the same company that makes these Hawks for cold steel (The American Tomahawk Company) only the quality on the Lagana is 50 times better

  • nice video, that finish looked like it completly wore off though

  • I herd the sog fusion tomahawk was made from a bad metal.. I am getting the cs trench hawk I am wanting to test it out

  • I was considering buying this, until i saw it slip out of his hand, imagine using this in combat in wet conditions or with sweaty hands. You're Dead.

  • i own the cold steel trench hawk and i love it but it could really use some kind of grip, out in the woods in the weather it tends to get a little slippery. you should consider making a replacement handle with some kind of grip am sure others who own the trench hawk would say the same.

  • I really like cold steel, but the SOG Fusion Tomahawks is better in my opinion. It's got a grip, a decent sheath, and its only like fifty bucks

  • An invaluable weapon if you are being stalked by a 44 gallon drum full of water.

  • @ 00:55 hope that wasnt fuel x3

  • +100

    Scalper

  • @kyl4edfkmsdk dumass

  • 00:34 ...IT CAN EVEN KILL DRAGONS ITS SO AWESOME! BUY IT NOW!

  • looks like cast iron lol

  • i bought this because i had 50 gallon oil drums that have been pissing me off. lets just say, i don't have that problem no more.

  • Rangers lead the way!!!!

  • better than the SOG . I chopped at a cow bone my dog got tired of and it chipped the edge away like it was made of pot metal.. SOG hawk is a pos

  • You guys stole the hood off my car!

  • do they come with the awesome black shorts to hit steel drums in?

  • ah those short shorts always make me want to buy the newest cold steel weapon lol

  • Great for killing cows and Barrels! HA! Why not show what it can do in the field in normal, everyday use? This is just Rambo style bullshit!

  • guys love the products but some are so expensive i want one of there swords but are expinsive

  • I think I'm going to buy one of these soon. It would be great if you guys made a Quick Detatch MOLLE compatible sheath.

  • O__O the part with the car door...i dont think you need that...serial killers usually think when a person gets in a car they should give up...showing them this..bad idea maybe?

  • thumb if you thought of call of duty: black ops when you saw this

  • @aznzero12 Thumbs down Black Ops reminded of this as it does with a lot of things in the game.

  • quick way to put speed holes in the whip.

  • dont let your ex wife get a hold of 1 of these

  • cs thank you so much for making the Trench Hawk. I owned the Sog fusion and it was made out of shitty stainless steel. I want to take a moment that although the fusion series looks cool it is complete crap! the fusion series can not hold up to camp chores. The fusion hawk while chopping wood (I use mine as a backpacking ax bc it is lightweight chips, dulls and has to be re profiled! The spring steel used in your knives and hawks delivers and I buy them up because your steel performs.

  • Make one like the SOG tomahawk but with 1095 steel rather then 420 and a kydex sheath

  • which one is better for throwing... vietnam tomahawk or the rifleman hawk?

  • if this hawk had a longer and better grip, with some sort of molle compatable kydex sheath i would buy 4!, 2 for my cousin and brother in law serving in the sand box, and 2 for me!

  • Id be akimboing (dual wielding) this shizz

  • other than the fact that it was used in nam...and would make the design 40+ years old...

  • (to samisyosam)

in the gladiator vs apache episode of the deadliest warrior one of the apache experts was talkig about the tomahawk as a weapon, and mentioned how it's still used today by special forces, he pulled out a vietnam tomahawk replica, now i don't know if it was cold steel but it was a replica. can't wait to try the trench one they just came out with. i have this one, and i love it

  • i cant wait to get and try out the polypropelene handled trench hawk coming out...its about time

  • lol, totally unrelated, but doesnt that guy just look like a republican voter? :P

  • @ImEuanAndIGotsSkeelz He's not republican. He's got to be Libertarian or Constitutionalist. My kind of crazy.

  • maybe, but you must admit he looks like a republican type :P

  • woot vietnam

  • i really want this but i have seen on some reviews that the head comes off easily with use. any comments?

  • @beautifuldisasternee i don't know. I think you can do better than cold steel but generally i think they have great products.

  • cold steel has the best quality knives axe and tools

they are super sharpen and super strong

    best wishes cold steel

  • I wonder if anybody who has ever bought one of these has been forced to use one in actual combat.

  • Excellent! Now I know what to get if I ever have a need to chop through a car hood, like for an oil change.

  • And speed holes.

  • is it me or does the upswept blade look like the stock of an ak-47?

  • No grips on the handle makes it a no no for me.

0:45 : slips out from hand even before impact.. just add some kraton or something.

  • @chibraxial

Most tomahawks have smooth handles, since they are for throwing.

  • Ok, dumb me

  • I was just saying, I did the same thing. Added some Bat tape. I like it better.

  • I'll second what serpentinear86 said!

  • Cold steel should consider these recomendations for this Item.

Make the handle 4 inches longer.

Make a model out of synthetic 'bendable' material such as there baseball bats.

Keep the price tag under 70 bucks.

    Add combat grip rings.

Incorparate a Quick detatch molle compatable sheath. Make the sheath combat rugged.

Keep the price tag under 70 bucks.

This would fly off the shelves like candy bars.

  • Thank you. Noted

  • Comment removed

  • @serpentinear86

The fact that the handle is relatively short, making the tomahawk compact while not too small is the best feature about the Vietnam Hawk, in my opinion.

  • Nice toy...but I'd take a heavy machete over this any day. I spend time in the bush and don't see this being anywhere near as useful as a Martindale machete, but I may get one and see for myself.

  • no" Vietnam Tomahawk"

  • @csknives Have you ever thought about making a Japanese Kanabo?

  • @masicklazik

This tomahawk is not Vietnamese it was simply designed during the Vietnam War.

When some refer to the war they simply say "Vietnam." Thank you.

  • good all around tool to have while camping or on the ranch, I love mine.

  • these really are beasts....took mine to Iraq with me and also at home used it to change a tire. Guy who had the car before me had the tire put on by a jackass who over did it and messed up the chrome bolt covers. Had to hack the shit out of them to be able to get that flat tire off and get home.

Hard to find any knife as tough as these relatively cheap 'hawks.

  • Cool, now I can put speed holes in my car to make it go faster lol nah I like the bad axe myself that thing is awesome.

  • I'm going to have my own handle custom grooved slightly for some extra grip & looks. I went from selling the SOG to selling the Cold Steel now.I like the drop forged steel & simple design better that would be easier to repair the shaft if it ever get's damaged..

  • I wonder how many american invasor were killed by indian partizans

  • Less than how many natives were killed by americans.

  • Do you ave any drop forged tomahawks?

  • ALL of our tomahawks are drop forged

  • wow! so all the handles are just built right onto the heads?! sweeeeet and her i spent $20 welding a piece of rebar to a hatchet XD

  • @csknives What does drop forged mean?

  • @MrBobsrevenge put molten steel in a mold and drop a hammer on it to form to the mold, like a blacksmith beating peace of steel only big machine does it with one slam

  • show me if it can break through a jail lock and maybe ill buy it

  • How is the Blade held on the handle?

  • The handle is made of American Hickory and the blade is held on in the same manner as our other tomahawks.

  • They should put a grip on it. I noticed how it slipped out of his hand whilst hitting the drum of water.

  • @PatronSaint210

You could put some bicycle tubing around the handle for a better grip.

  • @PatronSaint210 Use hockey tape it works. Mine doesn't come out of hand unless I'm throwing it.

  • cool cool cool, I love it!!!

  • What is it good for?

  • It's very good for opening up a can of whoop-ass

  • It sure is

  • lol you bet it is!

  • I highly agree

  • ...everything

  • Awesome TomaHawk. I painted mine black I also had to add a new handle. But, other then that a great Hawk for the money.
