Fantastic video and song - the truth rings through here. Our port is also dying an unnatural death - thanks to mismanagement, govt fees & charges and the lack of support we fishers need. We seem to be treated like lepers, but funny how people want to line up at the table for 'fresh' fish and prawns!
Enviromentalism based on corrupt science, is being used to steal away all of our Rights, Freedoms, and Liberty !!. Conservation groups have made stopping commercial fishing into a big money business, with the donations from the public that does not know what is really going on, and from government grants for their falsified/bad data on the fisheries. (over-fishing is an even bigger Lie than global warming was !!!). We the commercial fishermen are NOT the bad guys that we are made out to be.
Yeah I remember the Iron Summer trawling off North Stradbroke. I remember Jimmy Storey he had some boats built at Brian Thompsons ship yard at Bulimba in Brisbane in the 70's, I think they were The Crest, Gold Crest & Wave Crest
What a wonderfully job you have done to bring light onto this important issue, and thankyou also for the wonderful trip down memory lane, I can remember some of those boats from my childhood in Mooloolaba. nice vid! its so wrong what the govt are doing! we will all be eating imported rubbish soon because what is caught in aus will be far to expensive but im sure when they have their big functions they will use taxpayers money to have the best while us average joes are left with the rubbish! it doesnt sit well with me! anyways keep up the good work! your doing australia proud!
