  • parakalw :)

  • darıldın mı cicim bana

  • the song looks like both greek and turkish because is from smyrna (izmir). It belongs to the former rebetika songs often called as smirneika(from smyrna). Whatever its origins are its a very nice song.

  • The favourite song of my grandmother.. Greek from Manisa (Magnesia), near Smyrna.

  • in Greek sources,it was recorded as a Panagiotis Tountas song but in Turkish sources,is an anonymous song.

  • @mparmparos

Its anonymous for Turkish sources because its very old Aegean melody sung by ordinary folks, no one knows who wrote it first.

I just google`ed the person you said. Wikipedia says he started composing songs around 1910. He cant be the composer of this song because this song has been definitely written much earlier than that. I think most Aegean folk tunes like that are dated back to late 18th century or early 1800s when people performed those with one simple instrument

  • I think you misadressed your comment. What I wrote is already in harmony with yours.

  • This song belongs to everyone who loves to listen to it. Dispite the nation! ;)
