I'm a big fan of RE myself, but keeping in mind the huge number of zombie appearance in popular culture, it is highly unlikely that they had RE in mind. I mean, there are hundreds of different books and films about the living dead, right? But I guess you were just kidding anyway ;)
@djlagomorph well the bit of "Unlocked by mortals hand(Wesker,Umbrella)" matches more resident evil than other zombies scenarios but indeed i said it for fun mainly
Well, I don't know. There's always a viral outbreak or insane necromancer that causes zombies to appear. I can't recall a single instance where humans (or other mortals) weren't responsible. But I admit, I'm splitting hairs here^^ The song's just awesome no matter what the lyrics refer to ;)
Of course BG is better. Savage Circus released only two albums. But are the followers in the same dimension, they can be compared to BG and they don't get under.
The first song I listened to was Evil eyes and you have to admit they do sound almost excatly like Blind Guardian hell I though they were for about 5 minutes I know the lead singers are the same person but I like Blind guardian a bit better and thats only because Savage uses the tinkling kind of soud as a base to start off most of their songs on of Doom and death and thats really the only album I got around to listening
@Manofvalor555 Believe it or not the singers are actually two different people. Although similar in sound the singer from Savage Circus is Jens Carlsson of Persuader, and not Hansi Kürsch.
It's a pity that this album is getting some bad reviews because it doesn't sound original. So what? This album kick ass, and I have no doubt that if it was a Blind Guardian release it would be praised as one of their better works.
