@BeeABaw No offense but the Acura RL is no where near on par with an Infiniti let alone a Lexus. I can agree that the Infiniti is in a class of its own but the top dogs in the Japanese Luxury market continue to be Lexus & Infiniti..... it never has been Acura even though it is an affordable substitute to luxury. I haven't seen an RL on the road in over a year.
BMW AND MERCEDES ARE BEUTIFUL CARS BUT THEY GIVE WAYYYYYY TO MANY PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IVE HAD SEVERAL MERCEDES BENZS AND ALL HAVE GIVEN ME SOO MANY PROBLEM EVERY SINGLE ONE THAT I SOLD WAS IN TERRIBLE SHAPE AND NOT BECAUSE I DIDNT MAINTAIN IT WELL
They did a stellar job with the design, at least the exterior. It manages to be graceful & elegant, while at the same time sporty with an aggressive, muscular stance. Very well done.
@tw00023111 Best way to sell a car is to show it, not brag and boast about how its better than its competitors. The truly good cars do not require that.
That's actually not silver dust it's metal shavings polished into the wood to make it look like silver ... I don't knw about you but some people would die over calming breezes after a hard days work cuz that would be nice no matter what weather your driving in but silver dust aka "metal shavings"... I don't get that...what's wrong with regular polished wood...anyway i still think the wood looks cool I guess it has its own unique style and the car is amazing!!.. I'd get one fo show!
i agree. yes BMW is a good car but DAMNNN infiniti has taking over the luxury brands.. i own a 2007 infiniti M35 and its absolutely beautiful.. infiniti is better then BMW and or lexus and Acura.. infiniti #1 i love the japanese... they use brain and muscle and thats were infiniti comes in.. infiniti #1
I read that the silver-powdered wood was inspired by traditional Japanese Maki-e, in which metal powder is sprinkled on lacquerware. The company has been playing up its Japanese heritage for some time.
Does anyone know if Liev Schreiber narrated this? I think he migt have a contract with Infiniti or something because he did one in 2006. This one sounds like him too. I'm still working on recognizing his voice in voice-over work. it's so different
Did anyone else notice the music sounds like Philip Glass? I checked my Koyaanisqatsi soundtrack after thinking it sounded familiar, and sure enough, track 11 "Prophecies" has a very similar tune. I understand another composer wrote the music for this commercial....maybe it was inspired by this track?
hmmm same way we cant live without being able to park are cars like the Lexus LS does or same way we need heated seats, ipod integration systems, and Navigation I mean really who needs that anway?!....lol they are all just conviences, no need to call all out a very well thought out idea, its actually doing a good thing to the air you breath in, not like other technology's that assist your car from getting scratched instead of having the driver and passenger in mind. This was a great idea.
Oh the wonderful calming breezes. A car with 'calming breezes' (lol) is not the same as a car with navigation. Let's spend hundreds of thousands of dollars advertising forest-themed air conditioning--now that's a smart company!. And silver hand polished into the wood? Yes, let's throw that in there in case vampire werewolves attack. This commercial is hilariously out of touch, and that is what makes me laugh. u don't need to take things so seriously.
shut the hell up! why do u hv Infiniti as number 1? From what I see you luck knowledge of cars and you are a biased individual who just puts random numbers just because of what he had on TV or what he saw on the streets! so please go educate urself then come back!!
@hairlesheep i dont know if your erased your comment to me, but to answer your question. i've seen hondas and toyota's that have made it well beyond 100,000 miles without major fixings. that, combined with jd powers giving them 'excellent' reliability, and mercedes 'good' went into my judgement. german cars took a hit in the 2000s on a variety of quality issues. bmws 5 series and up are 'mediocre', as well as audi.
I am not mad at anyone! I wonder why you put Lexus as the n.1 though for as much as I found out when it comes to reliability Mercedes tops the list followed by BMW and Audi. I am no biased individual so this is not from MY OPINION. When are you going to see a Lexus that has gone 1,000,000 miles without having too much maintenance done at all? Or is it the features you hear being mentioned on TV that makes you put it at the top?
Honestly, I love Infiniti and one day I can afford to buy G or M. I think the main feature of Infiniti in comparison to German car brand BMW is a moderate price. Nazis just want to have more money for their badge, so they sell a showy car with a low equipment. Infiniti just offers you to choose the color of exterior and interior leather with trims, because the rest has been already packed.
What does car's performance have to do with airconditioning technology & using silver dust lacquer paint on their wood panels? Wow the Japanese are great liars just like toyota.
Really??? Hand polished silver into the wood, simulated breeze A/C? I thought we were in a recession? People really have the money to piss away on this overpriced Nissan?
I have waited my entire life for a car with pure, not semi-pure, but 100% pure silver dust hand, not machine, polished into the hardwood paneling. Sure, some cars have cheap bronze polished in, but that garbage is for the dregs of society whom are on welfare. And one could even go with gold dust, but that is so nuevo riche; I might as well aquire 20" rims if I were to opt for pure gold dust.
No, 100% pure silver is the luxurious yet tasteful option when it comes to transition metals that one could choose to have polished into the wood of a car that is conditioned like a fertile forest.
@oleh08 Infiniti really never uses songs from other bands or artist in their commercials, they produce their own music in order to captivate and capture the magic of the certian vehicle being advertised, its suppose to blend in with the background, theme, and mood.
This car looks like something from a dream! It looks so captivating and elegant. The car surley states class and success, Ive been very fond of the BMW's but im starting to crossover to Japanese luxury, this is uncomparable to the conservative new and old 5 series sedan. The New Infiniti M has deffinetly crossed the line to ultra luxury. In my opinion Lexus has nothing on Infiniti, I find Infiniti to rank #1 in terms of japenese Luxury. This is a great competitor to other Top Dog lux brands.
@Johncarson9113 I feel the same way, These guys are taking it to new levels each generation while BMW's are looking quite lame in design. Infiniti pushes the envelope far more than lexus' safe but boring approach.
I want it!!

@hairlesheep MY OPINION is:
1) lexus gs or acura rl ('excellent' rankings in reliability by jd powers and others
3) infinity m ( for reasons above, particularly the
4) mercedes e class sedan (only a 'good' ranking in quality)
5) audi a6, bmw 5 and 7 and jaguar xf (only 'mediocre'...or 'has issues')
