What type of thread do you recommend for quilting with the Octi-Hoops

Interesting.......I have done the same using an embroidery hoop.

If you have the Bernina machine you an use the stitch regulator - or... you can tell the machine that you're darning instead and take off the foot completely. The freedom in removing the foot makes it so much easier to maintain your stitches and you can see where you are going :)

Yes :) any sewing machine with a straight stitch can free motion quilt without holding onto the quilt, without puckers, no need to start in the middle and work puckers to the outside because there are never any puckers ;) It's fun, fast and much easier than the alternative methods.

Yes all you need is a straight stitch - you don't even have to lower feed dogs if your machine can't. :)

You will be shocked with just how easy it is. I've had children as young as 4 years old quilt with them. I'll be adding more videos soon showing even more... your hands don't hurt - you don't carry the weight of your quilt... it's amazing!
