Its pretty sad...I have been to America a few times and the country has some great architecture (Chicago was very interesting) and most of the people are kind hearted and a pleasure to have a good conversation with. At the G20 in toronto canada the canadian police arrested and spyed on any of it citizens it deemed suspicious and rode horses over people protesting in a park. @ggqbc yup your right about the police brutality at the G20, but i dont think it would be much different in the States, the Seattle G8-G20 meeting was a pretty brutal violation of human rights if i remember right.. . this new bill sounds scary and if i never went down to the G20 and hadnt gotten arrested i think id still think pretty passively about this i.e., naively hoping for the govt to use this for good cause,, but now i got a taste of how power can be misappropriated even in Canada.

Its pretty sad...I have been to America a few times and the country has some great architecture (Chicago was very interesting) and most of the people are kind hearted and a pleasure to have a good conversation with. I think they are trapped in a situation which they really don't have to much control over. Hell if they wanna move up here it would be cool, our countries are so similar anyhow and I think they'd feel at home, just with more hockey, a different flag, and maple syrup =D
