one of the 2 great czech masters( the other one Bedrich Smetana, although Janacek and Martinu are good too) Dvorâk wrote fantastic pieces, just to think on his 9 symphonies, specially no. 8 and the heavenly celestial no.9(from the new world) his slavonic dances, his quartets. 10 operas, his stabat mater and his requiem among others show the greatness of his genius

first violinist really bothers me. she's out of tone and she bounces her bow too much.

Despite little mistakes (2:05 wrong note in 1st violin) good overall performance, a lot of energy, sometimes a little aggressive even. Phrasing I would do differently myself in the long melodic lines, but it's a matter of taste. Good ensemble playing. I like the carbon fiber cello :)

I like this performance of America perhaps best of all I've heard. Good tempo, good sound, and good chemistry.
