I have hated almost every anime I've tried watching, and I really just hate Japanese cartoons in general because of it. But this anime surprisingly awesome. I saw ELO on stage during the "Discovery" Tour, back in 1980's.

they realy deserve their name for it was on of the most impressive show I've ever seen at that time, with amounts of lasers, strobes, all kinds of lights...

The Show began on "twilight" with an R2D2 replica blown up at the end of the prologue.

I was just 13 at that time, but I never forgot this show.

Even if i've seen better, stronger and louder onstage performance since.

When I first heard this song, I had to have the vinyl record that contained this classic. You included the epilogue too... THANK YOU! Is this a record or CD version? I noticed at the very end... on my record, it fades at the end Twilight, Twilight, Twilight, Twilight (followed by big instrumental finale) which leads into the spooky haunting music and into the next song. The talent of ELO was pure genius even on vinyl!

@tk42hamstermon It's from FLCL, aka FuriKuri or Fooly-Cooly or some variation of that. The anime was made by Gainax Studio, who is comprised of members of the Daicon IV Animation Team. Daicon was one of Japan's science fiction conventions. The scene where the bunny girl is flying a guitar and dodging missiles is a parody of the Daicon IV Opening Ceremonies. Just watch the Daicon IV animation (in the related videos list here).

This song was also the opening credits theme for "Densha Otoko."

Al parecer el inicio está directamente sacado del prologo del disco original (Time, 1981) el cual enlaza con la canción. Normalmente Twilight se escucha sin el prologo como radio cut.

Eso sí, el hecho de que suene tan rápido sigo sin descubirlo. En Densha Otoko usaban una versión más corta -de un minuto y medio- pero a velocidad normal.

Not their best album but still very good. I remember when it came out I listened to it for days. I think Jeff had been listening to too much Neil Young when he was going through his Transformer days. The lyrics on this album are very stinky indeed. Pity really, the music is actually okay.
