Action scenes often feature real guns shooting blanks, it's easier and obviously more authentic than prop guns with fake recoil and post production muzzle flashes etc. For instance, both handguns used by Samuel L Jackson and John Travolta in Pulp Fiction are actual guns owned by Quentin Tarantino.

@ravenmarcellagirl I remember watching it, as a very impressionable 14 year old who simply couldn't sleep that night. So impressed he was with Fight Club. That movie made him want to do something with his life. Lines from that movie made him want to destroy himself in search for enlightment. It was because of that movie that he is what he is today.
