They cut out part of the scene in the steamroom when Buddy first sits up and tries to open his eyes. Behind him, the wall, which was just up to his neck, suddenly is over his head.
It wasn't until 2004 when I once again saw this series. It's hard to believe it's been 45 years since I went gaga over this show. I've never seen the ending.
Freeze the frame at 7:54. That's Laurel Goodwin, who's probably best known for her role in the Star Trek pilot, and as Elvis Presley's romantic interest in the film "Girls Girls Girls." Only in the silly world of 60s sitcoms would a babe of that caliber put up a sign that reads "Man Wanted" at a filling station, and then start flirting with a goofball like Jack Sheldon. In real life, she's been married to a wealthy Palm Springs businessman for the last 40 years.
At the part where Mr. D's car smashed through the window, I could see Buddy Overstreet (Jack Sheldon) yelling, "You're crazy!" And Mr. D sticks his head out the window and says, "You have to be if you want to appear on this show!"
I Dream Of Jeannie probably killed Run Buddy Run in the ratings war! I was 11 years old in 1966 so I watched Gilligan at 7:30p; Jeannie at 8p; and Lucy at 8:30p! Not that I didn't like Buddy but I really loved Jeannie:-)
funny how this show only lasted 13 weeks, being between Gilligan and Lucy on Monday nights..if i'm not mistaken, Jeannie was on at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC: that may explain it...
@disabled1955 What also didn't help is that CBS filmed only the pilot in color. After which, the episodes were in black and white. Meanwhile, ABC announced all their primetime shows were in color for the first time.
@BuddyNovinski All episodes of Run, Buddy, Run were in color. For some oddball reason, full-color episodes of certain Talent Associates sitcoms are hard to find. The full run of every sitcom they did since '65 has been in color except the pilot of "Get Smart".

I watched this EVERY WEEK in Fall 1966. Too bad it was canceled a few months later in 1967.

One error I noticed. How did Buddy know Simon's name? Simon never told him his name before Buddy says, "Me Horace, You SImon".
Gasoline was around a quarter a gallon then, so $2 must have filled nearly half a tank.
