hi guys i got a quick question . does modifications to a car like this increase insurance? i heard you have to inform them about any mods to ur car or else its illegal. is that true or do they just not insure those items in an accident.
Glad to see some people know what their doing and how to make a car look nice. Not a huge fan of the black strip in between the tail lights though. You have the silver base color goin for you the blacks looks real nice on it. I got a blue 02 not sure what i wanna do with it yet

@txrav15 a catback system is piping from the catalytic converters all the way to exhaust tips, the catback has the mufflers with it. your whole exhaust system is manifolds (headers if you have aftermarket ones), mid pipe (catted or o/r (off road) x or h-pipe), then the catback system. idk what type of muffler mac is, i think it's relatively close to flowmaster

@txrav15 honestly dude, i'd save your money. i've never heard an exhaust that sounded good on a v6. no matter what ANYBODY tells you, you can't make a v6 sound like a v8, period. but if you're really set on getting an exhaust, i'd buy your exhaust on americanmuscle(dot)com. you don't have to get the catback system, just swap out your mufflers and tips, the exhaust shop can weld them in. saves you quite a bit of money

@txrav15 A mac catback is the exhaust pipes/ Either H, X Or Y midpipes with the catalytic converter added to reduce smog/emissions, and make you street legal thats all. I dont run cats on my set-up. have a mean-ass combo of BBK tuned length shorty headers with PYPE X-pipe, running to 2 PYPES violator mufflers. MY hp gain was instantly felt after removing stock manifolds and with my tune dude my GT is incredibly in beast mode. Wet spray coming soon. Hope this helps. Thanks
@rgibnz320 i tried TACP. also there's CCT, SERE, and SAWT. EOD isn't considered special operations anymore, they moved there training from Medina to Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls i believe

@speeddemon0712 I hear you. It is a preference thing. If I wanted all out performance I would have gotten a Terminator. But the ride quality and comfort is amazing on the GTO. Not to mention I get 27mph at 80mph on the interstate. :) Mustangs do look great though. The new edge is my favorite by far.
@Thetickman81 where are you getting that statistic? i've had 2 2000 gt's, a 99 gt, and a 96 gt, and my silver 2000 gt was the fastest out of all of them (they were all stock)

@ThatOneMeatGuy thanks bro... headlights off americanmuscle(dot)com, the brake lights the previous owner got them off ebay, but you can smoke them yourself with VHT nightshade. i have a vid on how to do that if you want. and the rims/tires i got off ebay for $1000. but americanmuscle(dot)com is a great website for mustang products
@speeddemon0712 great looking car man. I would say that since I own a 02 gt and have the SLP loudmouth 2's in it, that is the way to go for sure. I had those and an O/R x pipe and it was loud! but a good loud. lol I ended up putting some high flow cats on it and it quieted down just enough to still sound great and get that service engine light off. Im trying to post a vid of mine soon too.

@cupich82 it really depends. here in dallas/fort worth, there's alot of mustangs. if you want to get a gt, you can get a decent one for about $6k. but if you want a good one with under 100k miles, your looking at an easy $7-8k
any reason why you didnt go 20% tint all the way around or 5%...? i mean, to each is own.... i just like to have all my windows the same or is Texas strict on the window tint laws?
@lilmiss2sweet texas law is actually one of the most lenient for window tint, and i like the back being as dark as they can which is legal. the front can only be 25%, but you'd put 30% on cause windows come with a factory 4% tint. so i went a little darker cause it looks good and the cops won't pull me over for 20%, but they might if i went 5% on the front
Question about the Pro shifter. would you recommend it? i HATE my truck shifter that i have, and iw ant something extremely small that i can actually fit cups into my cup holder as well as shift into second!
@Pyrothos666 i feel ya on that one... i now have a 2000 gt with the stock shifter. i'd definitely recommend this shifter, it was great! just don't get the mach1 shift knob, it gets wayyyy to hot in the summer and it's slippery when your sweaty

@sycotic51 the first thing i always do is the exhaust. then lowering springs and smoke the taillights. after that, its up to you. i got a vid on how to smoke the taillights if your interested

@sycotic51 the taillights are easy to do yourself, i got a vid on how to do it. and as far as the exhaust goes, i like an o/r x-pipe with borla stingers :). or o/r h-pipe with flowmaster super 44's. or if your into really loud exhaust, i'd say o/r x-pipe with slp's
@speeddemon0712 o/r x pipe with slp lm1's are crazy loud, with slp lm2's you get a more muscle car rumble. thats what i have. i actually just added some high flow cats and it quieted down quite nicely. :D

Oh nice, My 1999 gt has 61k miles and runs like it's brand new. You should get sequencial taillights on it. I have them on mine and they look great. I just put a BBK cold air intake on and it sounds mean. I also have new Kasino rims and Lexani tires. Pretty much the only thing I haven't changed is the exhaust. They're all just a little too expensive for me right now. Glad to see another Mustang enthusiast on the road

I am just getting to that point where I am getting bored with it had it for over 3 years now but I do have to say looks way better now then when I first got it. @sycotic51 the first thing i always do is the exhaust. then lowering springs and smoke the taillights. after that, its up to you. i got a vid on how to smoke the taillights if your interested

@sycotic51 the taillights are easy to do yourself, i got a vid on how to do it. and as far as the exhaust goes, i like an o/r x-pipe with borla stingers :). or o/r h-pipe with flowmaster super 44's. or if your into really loud exhaust, i'd say o/r x-pipe with slp's

@speeddemon0712 o/r x pipe with slp lm1's are crazy loud, with slp lm2's you get a more muscle car rumble. thats what i have. i actually just added some high flow cats and it quieted down quite nicely. :D

@89bteal i know they're crazy loud, just how i like it :). i've had both o/r x and h pipe with lm1's. i've also had lm1's with high flow cats, very nice too, just to quiet for my tastes. i like ppl to know i'm coming from over a mile away

@89bteal oh yea haha. and thanks, to bad i dont have it anymore. i traded it for an 03 HEMI i used to own, but then gas was killing me and i missed driving a mustang, so i traded the HEMI for a 2000 GT. you should check it out, i got like 3 vids of it. i also have a mustang gt compilation 2 video about the 4 mustangs i've owned over the past 2-3 years

Oh nice, My 1999 gt has 61k miles and runs like it's brand new. You should get sequencial taillights on it. I have them on mine and they look great. I just put a BBK cold air intake on and it sounds mean. I also have new Kasino rims and Lexani tires. Pretty much the only thing I haven't changed is the exhaust. They're all just a little too expensive for me right now. Glad to see another Mustang enthusiast on the road

@turbo98gt you have a nice gt dude. you definitely need a new camera man for that fly by vid tho haha. and if you end up keeping that gt instead of getting this body style, i'd paint it either jet black or like a pearl white. or you can do what my 96' gt had (which i got TONS of compliments on). type in mustang gt complilation in the search bar and it should be the second vid that pops up

@speeddemon0712 Thanks, would be nicer if it had a PI 4.6L in it but the V6 is a good cheap reliable D/D. I am just getting to that point where I am getting bored with it had it for over 3 years now but I do have to say looks way better now then when I first got it. I do always get looks and comments because it is so clean people have a hard time believing it has 170k miles on it, and had a guy at Wendy's wanting to buy it today I was like lol really.
