This is really an excellent song; very upbeat and well written. Very clever how they blend the titles and some lyrics of some of their prior song hits ("cinderella sunshine", "good thing", "kicks") into this song. Very well done.
Raiders sound as wonderful as always. Impressive choreography & skill by the dancers, including Lorene Yarnell. I do recall she was, primarily, a dancer while Robert Shields was an actor/mime. Great team. Thanks to Paul & Mark for keeping the Raiders going with excellent new members after the departure of several of the originals. Clever song with previous Raider lyrics mixed in. Peace & Love to ALL.
Never heard this song before, thx for posting. Dig Mark Lindsay's suit, boy is he hot. Saw him recently, still looks good, will see him in May Ocean City with Teen Idols tour. Love his voice, his looks, and he is oh so nice in person!
For anyone interested, there is a chat room set up specifically for Mark Lindsay fans while Mark does his radio show on Saturday nights for K-Hits. He broadcasts from the booth at his Rock 'n Roll Cafe in Portland, OR from 10:00pm,-2:00am. Go to "Rock Groups by Tom Brady," scroll to the bottom of the page & on the bottom right side is an icon for "Chat Room." Click on that, enter your name (no need to add a profile) and you're in. Hope to see you there!! :-)
...I feel lucky to have been here in the northwest usa when the sonics, the wailers, and all these great groups were helping to shape rock and roll-peace!
Northwest U.S.A. was a great place for rock and roll-the raiders recorded their version of louie louie at the same small studio in Portland, Oregon, as the Kingsmen did a short bit earlier. Locally, in Portland, the two versions were equally popular-
Why...?You gotta see it in the time it was made.I think the dancers gave a dynamic performance.Ok, M.Lindsey had little girls appeal but he had one hell of a voice .
Thank you. Lorene Yarnell always did have a great pair of legs. Mark Lindsay - Lead vocals, Paul Revere - Keyboards, Freddy Weller - Lead Guitar, Keith Allison - Bass, Joe Correro Jr - Drums
Less dancers! More Mark Lindsay!!!

Imagine if those dancers were all drunk? The bass sounds an awful lot like a Beatles' style but this song over all is really hot!

What album was this song from?
moorlock2003 4 years ago
The album was called 'Hard & Heavy' from 1969
therealcoolbert 4 years ago
They were good during this period. I like this and "Powder Blue Mercedes Queen", neither of which I had heard before. Both good rockers.
moorlock2003 4 years ago
My research also indicates "Hard & Heavy".
otto32848 4 years ago
