There was a huge hornet colony burrowed in a dead tree at work, practically took up a lot of inside of the tree trunk. I found the hole they were flying in and out of. I took some laquer thinner and poured it in there. They began to pour out of there like crazy. Some got away, some flew out and hit the ground to die. There was even a huge chunk of the nest that fell out of the tree just COVERED in dead and dieing hornets. Id have given anything to have recorded that on video

we found out we had a bee hive in our front yard on a tree and my brother dint see it and ran right next to the tree and 1 saw at least 5000 bees. my dog was there ill make a video so u can see it

what is wrong with these stupid yanks- hornets are quite social creatures and relatively peaceful towards humans, so why do we feel the need to destroy them . if they aren't threatened then why not leave them to live in peace as nature intends. for the record you halfwitted people, they actually keep our gardens particularly our fruit and veg crops free of other pests.

@chase1953 axe is one of the worst thing to use. It doesnt have that far of a spray on it so you will have to be about a foot away. get some carborater cleaner with a nossle extension on it and stand back about 7 feet and then flamethrower there ass so you wont get stung,

Definitely "yellow jacket" wasps. Maybe even bald faced "hornets" (large yellow jacket that is white/lime and black instead of the typical yellow and black) They are aggressive in defending their nests, and really pack a sting that will make an adult run. That close, it should be dealt with properly especially if children are around. Just get an abandoned nest in the fall and put it in your doorway to keep away unwanted "guests".

These things are wasps which makes it easy to get rid of them(exterminated a few nests in my time).....be glad its not hornets ,they are nasty fuckers.We had problems with them in our garden.

The best defence if they dont swarm you(dont do it too close to the nest to avoid that) is a badminton racket.U can kill a 100 of them in no time. To get rid of the nest its best using chemicals to avoid futue nestings.Dont use fire if its in a wooded structure!

Those are wasps in the video, but it's super easy to tell them apart.  Wasps are yellow/black (not all) and hornets are yellow/brownish red plus their size is bigger. (not all hornets have this color)
