I have really grown to enjoy Robben's voice. when I was a kid he just wasn't shredding enough. as i've gotten older and come to appreciate phrasing and tone, I've just fallen in love with his playing. I especially love the Blue Line years. I love driving to the Supernatural album. very soothing...water for the wicked

All original '61 Telecaster actually. One of the pickups has be slightly re-wound but other than that it's stock.

Anyone know what that guitar is? Judging by the headstock it seems to be a newer Tokai Telecaster. Its definetly not a real Fender, but it sounds great!

the lights reflect funny on the lower tip of the headstock, and that makes it look like it's kind of pointy. but it is the real deal.

Premetto che il mitico Robben Ford è uno dei miei chitarristi preferiti, pero dire Mark Knopfler del mio cazzo...Comunque la tecnica si chiama fingerpicking, il fingerstyle è un'altra tecnica, è quella che usa Tommy Emmanuel per intenderci.Ciao! :)

I love the blue line ensemble. They complement each other so well that I prefer Robben with the Blue Line than solo.

And I recently picked up the Mystic Mile album, which contains this track, and love it.

I love these intervals I've used them before I heard this tune by Robben I wish I could explain the forms to you here they're not so hard and work in every key or position on the neck in part I picked them up from listening to Ry Cooder and also Mark Knopfler I want my MTV uses them somewhat..anyway I love listening to Robben he's the best so original and such an innovator and he has such great taste as well..that's so important..just the best..

This song is called He don't play nothin' but the blues, it's from the Mystic Mile album, from the early 90s. It was originaly recorded with this trio. Rosco Beck on bass, and Brechstein on drums.
