Watching Howard the duck the second time I don't think it's a terrible movie, sure it's not the best superhero movie of all time but Howard himself is so bad ass especially the villain.
I would like to see a reboot of this film but Howard has to be done in animatronics.
For all the criticism that has been dished out on this film, it’s interesting to see that it has gained a cult following. Sure it’s not the greatest movie, but it’s pretty cool. Awesome 80’s music, decent F/X for the time, and of course, Lea Thompson, who’s extremely good on the eyes. Most people, I’m pretty sure, have always liked this movie, even the harshest critics, but are afraid to admit it…they probably have had the VHS tape of it and watched it in secret but never admit to it.
I just saw the date this was posted! :) Merry Christmas and thank you sharing this with the world! I shared it to a rock band called Hello Cleveland... Haha.... Cleve land! :P
After watching this movie for the first time, I honestly don't know why this movie is so panned. Admittedly, this is no kids movie, but the story was gripping, the final battle was intense, and there are some pretty good character arcs.
Having just recently watched this film for the first time ever, I have to say... it's underrated.
Anyone who thinks Howard was "one of the worst" wasn't around for some of the truly awful junk they used to show at neighborhood theaters for the Saturday matinee. Mind you, the admission was only seven cents so you couldn't lose much even on the Beast of Yucca Flats or Bomba.
I had not ever taken the time to see this flick despite what people say about. But I must admit, this was fun and hysterical! This is a cult classic flick that I definitely enjoyed!
With all due respect to those who think this is one of the worst films ever, I have to disagree. It's funny, sassy, quirky, and sexy as hell. Hollywood spits out worse movies every year. There should be more movies like this. Long live Howard, and his tribe.

Interesting: There is a small cut in the concert scene, one second is missing. Same cause as the cutted scene with the condom ?

So that's why they sent him to Shawshank, he blew up the laser station with Quak-Fu Duck. Of course! It all makes sense now.
