  • Amazing stuff!

  • 0:20 champions league is strating

  • Fucking AMAZING!

  • @TheAllahmyarse then why commenting?! O_O

  • How in the whole world is anyone able to dislike this masterpiece of humanity?

I mean, how?? It expresses the most wonderful gift of man - to bring people together and create something that is greater than one alone could be...

  • spine-tingling Glory to God via Handel`s Zadok the Priest--talent from Heaven above (really!!!)

  • bendita la monarquia britanica, amo esa institucion es una de las mejores del mundo Dios salve la reina por siempre.

  • Well, a "Baroque" orchestra was good enough for Handel, who conducted the first performances at the coronation of George II (a personal friend of his). Besides what a baroque orchestra may lack in fullness, it more than makes up for in agility. Still and all, a good performance of a magnificent piece of music.

  • Finally this is played with a full orchestra!

Those Baroque ensembles are incapable of producing the richness of sound that a large ensemble can.

    Thank you foo uploading this.

  • Gorgeous. God save democracy; the queen can take care of herself.

  • BRILLIANT!

  • I Love This March ! God Save the Queen ! God Save the Queen !

  • This music must be sent from heaven. It causes me the ultimate goose pimples and wet eyes. Pure magic!

And by the way: God save the Queen!

  • @98Roy19

gives me a wet pussy every time i listen to it.

  • @98Roy19 sorry but u're wrong! the last section of this song 'god save the king', not god save the queen

  • This music is like sex!

  • beeeeeuuuuuuuteeeeefuuuuuuuuul!!! Inspiring!! Soaring!!! AMAZING!!!

  • THE CHAMPIONS!

  • The full name is William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten-Windsor, Duke of Cambridge, KG - but by the military his last name is "Wales"

  • Once heard an interview with the director of the Newcastle Opera House who said they opened the new building with this piece and he described with undisguised glee the front row of the audience's blue rinse hairdo's being blown back by the sheer power of the 180 person choir he'd gotten to do it : D

  • @elanxx I wouldn't say it's top fast, it's te speed most people play it at.

  • This is being played too fast.

  • @elanxx agreed. The best version I have is by The English Baroque soloists - Monteverdi Choir. When it has a slow intro it's a bit more majestic.

  • this song inspired the UEFA Champions League theme. what a great piece of music

  • @stracepipe "Those who crave power, are the one's who are least fit to have it."- Plato

  • LOVE!!! We're singing this for our choir!!

  • チャンピオンズリーグ!!

  • If a Monarchy is good enough for Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Denmark, Sweden, Norway , Monaco & Spain, why not for the UK?

  • The UK is the only country that doesn't have its name on its stamps. Our stamps are identified as British because they have the Monarch's profile on them. In other words, the Monarchy is the embodiment of our nation and the cornerstone of our cultural & historical identity. Without the Monarchy we will simply cease to be British; that is why I am a monarchist. Plus of course, politicians who aspire to be head of state are inherently untrustworthy: just look at the house of commons!

  • @stracepipe

I might add that the postage stamp was invented in the United Kingdom. Why put your name on it? The others that copy have to though..

  • @stracepipe I love the monarchy. When people think of Britain they think of the Royal Family :D

  • the best tournament

  • brings tears to my eyes all the time.....

  • dani chato tira el chicle puntillooooooooooooooooooooo (;

  • koooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • outstanding version.

    Thanks for posting

Always puts a big smile on my face.

  • i aint a fan of the Monarchy but the music is truely amazing!

  • I was really enjoying that until I I heard someone in the crowd shout out "sister's cunt stuffed with cat shit. Now that's the true taste of home". It's a truely disgusting thing to say and it really spoilts the video.

  • I'm Italian, but I love UK and its Monarchy! LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!

  • Celestiale....dal cuore al cervello e di nuovo al cuore..

  • vivat rex vivat rex vivat rex

  • One of the best tracks from Handel's latest album, performed live in the Queen's back garden.

  • cyce ci lecą!! :D

  • @WiseMonkey888 She is - and what wonderful news today of the engagment of HRH prince William and Kate - they will make an excellent King and Queen and secure the future of the monarchy !

  • Now I know where the Nazi's got their idea's for those amazing propaganda videos.

  • Dis choon is wikid init man!

  • @Lewis93N Handel a was a fuckin G, composin dis music for his bitches innit chirpsing dem wid his tunes, sick blad!

  • The music coupled with the footage is like a fairytale. It's amazing. Too bad we don't have traditions like that in the US.

  • @blasianFMA to bad we arent weak lik u

  • @Agomongo1235 well, what can I say? If being strong also means being grammatically inept, then I'll choose weak...

  • @blasianFMA yeah so????? this is the internet and y would u judge som1 on their grammar on the internet? its like making fun of som1 because how they talk

  • music as regal as the monarch it is being performed for. God Save Elizabeth Regina. Long may she reign.

  • music as regal as the monarch it is being performed for.

  • We sang this for High School Honors Choir!!!

  • this is what you hear when chuck norris is mowing the lawn :)

  • @MegaAwsomeName Chuck Norris doesn't mow the lawn. Chuck Norris looks at the lawn and the lawn shrinks in fear ;-)

  • Beautiful version. For God, Queen and country! Huzzah!

  • i was there!!!!!!

  • sorry its The Royal Maopa Choir not Moapa Choir

  • EVeryone please watch the royal Tongan Choir perform Handel's zadok the priest at King Siasi Tupou the 5th's Coronation, the Royal Tongan Moapa Choir should not feel out of place performing this Item. They are proven to be a World class Choir.the video is called "Royal Moapa Choir" its at the coronation in Tonga. if your wondering where Tonga is its a Polyunesian island in the Sth Pacifc and is also a Soveriegn nation with a Monarchy and has recently crowned a new king.

  • Excellent Video! We had the honour of receiving her here in Canada this summer! She is as gracious as ever. As a Canadian subject, I hope she continues to reign over all of us!

  • brilliant

  • long live the queen!!!!!!!

  • the queen didnt ask to be queen, it was something that was put on her shoulders at a young age. I think shes carried out her duty very well. Once shes gone though, the rest of the "royal" family will mean nothing.

  • hahaha i wasnt expecting to see the UEFA anthem is based off this :P

  • what symphony # is this

  • @karkelkhan Well they could have a president "chosen" democratically every 4 or 5 years, paying him and all the other candidates lots of money, from the taxpayer, with them still not doing nothing useful. I doubt that the money the royal family spends on a lifespan is much greater than having elections on the same period. And besides at least the Queen is more less the same person in her entire life, not saying one thing a day and the next other. Kings remind people of the greatness of a country

  • Comment removed

  • @karkelkhan you have to love the royal family , they are our heritage . they represent conquest and the theft of other nations murdering innocent people and robbing stolen countries of their natural resources . but they ware nice clothes and talk posh , so they must be civilised . that goes to any person in power . they in power because they thrive on power .

  • @wichywoo lol im with you

  • @wichywoo Well if you are stupid i enough to misplace your country that is hardly our fault. LOL

  • @balderdash and piffle ive no idea what your talking about , im english born and bread . i do however know hypocrisy when stares me in the face . us minions have to live by laws .steeling and murdering etc etc are against the law . yet the powers that be feel they are above and immune to the law . illegal wars killing innocent people ,empires etc . i wander why the west is hated so much? gandhi had the right idea . get an education instead of playing your ps3 and watching propaganda on your t.v

  • @karkelkhan The british monarchy costs less than the Italian president! Not to mention less than half what Sarkozy costs...please name the Italian president ...(who, by the way, like the German and many other presidents is not popularly elected, but chosen by the parliament,..can't remember the name of the Italian president...? Well, just shows you who's getting value for money..

  • @chikubichan Its Berluscony. Few foreign people actually know Brittains queen. Besides that, how many money does Brittain miss out, because the queen doesn't pay any taxes. And the most ridiculous thing is, that she actually has powerfull instruments to control policies behind the curtain.

  • @karkelkhan You prove my point, it's not Berlusconi (he's the Prime Minister), the President of Italy is Giorgio Napolitano, and has been for the past 4.5 years, but nobody's heard of him (including some Italians), despite costing much more than the whole British monarchy. The President of Germany, by the way (until forced to resign recently for making scandalous remarks) was Horst Kohler, and again nobody knew him. If you're going to have a head of state to represent you, why choose a nobody?

  • @karkelkhan It's about 60p per person per year. No she doesn't. She can't even express an opinion without a constitutional review. If you're going to argue against the monarchy, at least use decent points. I believe in Republics, but the monarchy is clearly an important symbol of Britain and has a place.

  • @karkelkhan it's a british thing.

  • what a hurry coronation

  • me hace llorar y no se por que?

  • God save the Queen

  • I used to live singing this in the church choir as a small boy. As a choral piece, it is hard to find a better or more enjoyable song to sing. Amazing when you consider it only has 20 or so words to it!

  • One Word Sublime

  • Quite simply the best introduction to any piece of music, anywhere, ever.

  • God Save The Queen! and God Bless the life and memory of George Fredrick Handel, one of earths greatest composers.

  • i am proud to be related to her

  • God bless our Majesty!

  • mmm all in all i refer the sex pistols version :)

  • It´s similar to Uefa Champions League anthem.

  • @madridistand, correction, the UEFA CL anthem sounds similar to this... it is because the CL anthem was written as an adaptation of Zadok the Priest...

  • @JtotheROC ok I didn´t Know this! Thank you.

  • @madridistand It IS the Champions League anthem.

  • Bravissimo!

  • #t=1m18s is best moment!

  • Best video!

  • I certainly agree with all the "God save the Queen" posts but let's take a minute to consider George Frederick Handel and reflect on his magnificent masterpiece which has helped support the mystique of Monarchy and has been a highlight at evry coronation since George II (I believe?).

  • We're actually gonna sing this one with our schoolchoir =]

  • god save the queen, the fascist regime :)

GOD SAVE THE SEX PISTOLS :P

  • That's the Monarchy !

It will never cease to fascinate us !

    God Save The Queen !!

    God Bless The Queen !!

    Long live Elizabeth II !!

    Long May She Reign !!

    ***--E II R--***

  • So appropriate that the first part of a piece for a coronation forms the basis for the theme of the world's most prestigious annual sporting competition.

    :)

  • Stunning piece of music. I sang the second soprano part of this at a concert last year and it's an experience I'll never forget!

  • Obviously GF Handel lived in the time before the phrase "tone it down" existed. That being said, the sixteenth note run the basses do is fun to sing.

  • @skjumpers: Fortunately he did indeed.

  • Actually the saying God Save the King/Queen comes from the Jacobite Invasion of 1745 when George II was in danger of losing his throne. But it might originate from earlier times.

The saying is British tradition, not to be actually taken literally.

It's nice to actually keep traditions like this one and to have a Monarchy.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN! AND HANDEL!

  • O my God...glorius!!! I'm not from UK but have been there several times and I love Britts and their Queen....

Having monarchy is great and dignifying... :)

  • its fucked up mate, democracy is the way to go

  • exquisito sobre todo la coronacion

  • This literally brought tears to my eyes, such a masterpiece! absolutely spledid in everyway.

    GOD SAVE OUR GRACIOUS QUEEN!

  • Are you stupid ?

  • @MankoLKR Idiots like you. What price ignorance.? Are you American?

  • @quhitcorse1943, the only idiots here are the ones who actually thought my bafflement was sincere. Count yourself among them. Speaking of idiocy- "What price ignorance. ?" does not make grammatical sense. I find it ironic that you criticize others of being ignorant when you yourself demonstrate characteristics befitting the title.

  • The British Monarchy is the envy of the world...You live in canada a country which Elizabeth II is also Queen of, so I don't know why you are singling out the Brits for special attention, however you are entitled to your beliefs tho im sorry to have to break it to you but the monarchy is here to stay and I hope the queen reigns for many more healthy years to come!

  • @eyleseo

The Monarchy is the cornerstone of our Country and I am every bit proud of it, excellent comment!

  • @eyleseo She will no doubt, but Charles III? I simply can no longer comfortably accept this.

  • @eyleseo - once upon a time, monarchies WERE the state; they provided education, jobs, employment, national security. They don't perform any of those functions any more, and it is way too expensive for any country to subsidise their existence when the only ROI is tourism. Monarchies are not in touch with the world, and the world needs to bring it to their notice. OF COURSE they would like a free ride as long as possible. What do you mean the "queen reigns"...do you know what "reign" means?

  • @prakar The British Royal Family cost each taxpayer around 65P each year, Not much when you consider the amount the bring into the United Kingdom in tourism in a 12 month period....so thats one point where you are wrong, another being that of course the royals provide jobs/employment - they have a staff of thousands across the various royal palaces etc and take on extra temporary staff each year when windsor castle and buckingham palace open for the summer season.

  • @prakar You say they are not in touch with the world? How do you work this out? Im pretty certain that the Queen has visited the majority of the worlds countries, and she is fluent in at least 3 languages so for you to say that is rubbish, she is more of an expert on the world than you or I will ever be, and to say they see their roles as being a "free ride" shows your complete ingnorance of the history of our monarchy ever since william the conquerer in 1066.

  • @prakar A Reign is the term used for a monarchs postition of monarch of a nation,or commonwealth.

Hope this helps you out :-)

  • OMG...amazing!!!!!!!!

  • @eyleseo it's sad that few Canadians know that Queen Elizabeth II is even our head of state (I am Canadian) without the monarchy in Canada I think that would be disasterous to our country it would ultimately destroy our constitution which is as old as Canada itself

  • @MrExplorer7 Woops. Think you might be a bit wrong there. Although I love being part of the Commonwealth and wish that the Monarchy could play a greater role in British and Canadian politics (I've lost faith in Canadian Democracy), the effects of eliminating the Crown as the Head of State in Canada would be near inconsequential.

  • @MrExplorer7 @MrExplorer7 Woops. Think you might be a bit wrong there. • @MrExplorer7

I wonder, because her face is on every coin (and even bank notes ?).

  • @eyleseo no body envy's your broke monarch, and by broke i mean it ows 1,000 trillion bounds. you may thank your queen for it :P

  • @bozzeed What, are you charging interest on everything the monarch of England has borrowed since 1066 or something?

  • @JFMello1116 yes as a matter of fact england hired the templar nights to administrate treasury and took loans. all europe monarchs did as well which explains why the catholic church is rich. as for Uk national debt i made a mistake its 1 trillion still you may thank the queen for it :P

  • @bozzeed Don't they? thats why there was over 1million spectators from across the world at todays royal wedding of William and Catherine and why it was watched on tv and the internet by a global audience of around 2 billion people.........but....im sure you know best.

  • @eyleseo what is the prince last name again?

  • @bozzeed As a British prince, William does not use a surname for everyday purposes. Now he is Duke of Cambridge. - Wikipedia.

  • @fashionlove british prince? you wish! Duke of Cambridge is a title i asked you the last name

  • @bozzeed I don't see how your question is relevant, but if you tell me which prince you are talking about i'll tell you, for example Prince Williams surname is Wales..

  • @eyleseo Wales?!

  • @bozzeed Yes and his father is Charles Windsor, again, whats your point ?

  • @eyleseo ha ha you are so wron. the windsor is the queen title. do people take the names of their momy is UK? O_O

  • @bozzeed The Royal family took the name Windsor , as in the house of Windsor, and that is the royal house to which they belong and the surname that some of them use, including occasionally William and Harry - look it up if you have to, but in the meantime you can take yourself away off, If it offends you so much why are you on this page anyway you complete moron.

  • @eyleseo im sorry but as i mentioned before, windsor is the QUEEN's name dont make me repeat my self again i hate discussing with uneducated people. if you dont agree then what was her name before she TOOK the windsor name? and why are they taking their mother's name? are they bastards? took the name he says.

  • @bozzeed On 9 April 1952, Queen Elizabeth II officially declared her "Will and Pleasure that I and My children shall be styled and known as the House and Family of Windsor, and that my descendants who marry and their descendants, shall bear the name of Windsor."On 8 February 1960, the Queen confirmed that she and her children would continue to be known as the House and Family of Windsor, as would any agnatic descendants who enjoy the style of Royal Highness, and the title of Prince or Princess

  • @bozzeed That is the facts you uneducated foreign gimp, but of course everyone else is wrong and you are right , so you seem to think....

  • @bozzeed And before she took the name Windsor, the family was of the house of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Do you have a problem with this also ? Go ahead - I will make mince meat of you..

  • @eyleseo OH MY GOD PLEASE GIVE ME PATIENCE!! FOR THE LAST TIME!!!!!! if your name is william and your father's name is charles and your grand father's name is philip of schleswig holstein sonderburg glucksburg what will your name be william arthur philip louis of schleswig holstein sonderburg glucksburg or will yourname be william diana elizabeth II ?!

  • @bozzeed Oh you really are the un-educated one aren't you ? If you knew ANYTHING about our monarchy you would not have to ask stupid stupid questions like that........Monarchs can choose to name their dynasty as anything they wish by royal proclaimation, Any future monarch can change the dynastic name through a similar royal proclamation, as royal proclamations do not have statutory authority.....GET IT THICKO ?

  • @eyleseo thanks for admitting they are not english :P

  • @bozzeed What planet are you on ?? When did I admit they were not english ? Tell me where I said that - everyone knows the british royal family decended from various royal houses from all over europe - all european royal families are connected to each other in some way as they always used to marry into each other centuries ago as this was common practice, That does not mean that todays royal family is not British - Most of them except the Duke of Edinburgh was born in Britain you moron.

  • @eyleseo well im sorry but it was you who said they TOOK the name of windsor, when the queen as you have admitted was a Saxe-Coburg and Gotha ( german) and her children are schleswig holstein sonderburg glucksburg (danish) bit i guess the whole world are english to you so who is the moron now?! O_O

  • @bozzeed You haven't got a clue have you? Yes they took on the name Windsor,Our present Queen and ALL of her children were born in the United Kingdom,Therefore the last time I checked, that makes them British. President Obama's father was Kenyan, but Barack Obama was born in Hawaii so are you trying to say he is not American? I think its time you did your homework before you come onto these pages and try to act like you are an authority on things which do not concern you.

  • @bozzeed And again, tell me where I said the Queen was German ? I did not say that, I said she desended from the Saxe Coburg and Gotha, so what ? That does not make her german, she was born in England in 1926...That makes her English/British...is this too difficult for you to grasp ? For someone who said he doesn't like "un-educated" people, you seem pretty un-educated yourself dude.

  • @eyleseo well then, according to you the QUEEN is no more english/british than the pakistani (born in the uk) selling her postal cards next to her palace. but i am not talking about nationality, im talking about their race and their last names,do you deny that she is a descendant from germans? and her children are descendants of danish? answer i dare you if you are a man!!

  • @bozzeed You are a complete joke dude...I did not say that any "pakistani" born in the UK was not british..and I never denied that our Royal Family is of german/danish descent - its a well know fact, but she is ENGLISH as she was born in ENGLAND so why are you so angry about it ? Not that you would be any kind of expert, being in fucking kuwait like....take yourself away off and stop coming into videos on youtube which you hate in the first place, you sad little man.

  • @eyleseo actually you didnt knew these facts you are talking about, before i educated you that is. i dont hate anybody but i was discussing william's last name with someone before you hijacked the discution, before i have given you the education that is. well im pleased that you are finally educated please come back for more lessons about the german/danish royal family (their race not nationality) or the history of britain. cheers

  • @bozzeed Again, your talking shit, Check above - I posted a comment 1 year ago and you replied to it 2 months ago,so get your facts straight,Its blatently obvious that you know fuck all about our great monarchy, and don't dare tell me what I did and did not know, you think you are clever but look at your posts...your a little moron,go and crawl back under the rock where you came from, I told you before and I'll tell you again, I'll make mince meat of you on this subject, so just carry on....

  • @eyleseo actually my comment 2 months ago was not realted to the royal german/danish - english? wedding so yes you hijacked the discution <--- pisses you off? well im sure your german /danish royal family makes the same mistake after all they are not english and they do have people who write for them :P

  • @bozzeed

I'd rather have a "German" Royal family than some Kuwaiti dictating to us.

  • @Myles0Harcourt or you could rather have an english royal but you insist on being someones else's bitch :P

  • @bozzeed

To be honest, the Royal family are as German as bacon is lamb. ie not at all. Both of the parents of the Queen were British born as were her grandparents. Price Philip is a Greek, not a German and is naturalised British to the extent that he served in the Royal Navy in WWII. The German influence has worn off now as they have all been British for over one hundred years.

  • @Myles0Harcourt they still have german and danish last names

  • @bozzeed

Windsor is a foreign name? Seriously though, I don't see what their name has to do with it. My neighbour is called Wojcik but he is as loyal a subject to Britain and Her Majesty the Queen as anyone with a British name. Both his parents were British as were all his grandparents. Only his paternal granddad was Polish.

  • @Myles0Harcourt that is not her real last name

  • @bozzeed

Technically she has no lat name. but that is the one she uses. The fact that the british Royal family changed the name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor to demonstrate their loyalty to britain and their rejection of Germany shows that they are patriotic British people who support Britain. In a way, I guess that in England most of us are German if you gar back enough. That or French, which would be worse.

  • @Myles0Harcourt technically, she uses her non german last name to become popular amongst britains who fought 2 WWars against her cousins.

  • @bozzeed

Even if she still had a German name still, it would still not mean that she was German herself.

  • @Myles0Harcourt what does it means then?!

  • @bozzeed

It means that she has some German blood in her, but she can also have all the rest British blood. I have some Romanian and Jewish Blood in me, from one grandparent. Does that make me Romanian Jewish as well, even though all my other grandparents are British?

  • @Myles0Harcourt do you carry your father's name? or your mother's?

  • @bozzeed

    My dad's name.

  • @Myles0Harcourt so does the German queen and soon her danish grandchildren.

    the end.

  • @bozzeed

You obviously have no idea of how nationality works.

    the end.

  • @Myles0Harcourt no i dont. but what i know is your german queen is no more british than any other pakistani living in the UK

    the end.

  • @bozzeed

What rubbish. You evidently know nothing about our Queen. Which, being stuck in Kuwait, is hardly surprising.
