  • Evidence tells us that people with S1 vertically alligned with the lumbals (resulting in almost obliterated lumbal lordosis) have much higher incidence of disc herniation. Don't induce that in your patients - they need their lumbal lordosis! Spondylolisthesis comes from arcolysis (congenital or aquired at childhood) or facet/ligament degeneration (quite old age). Hyperlordosis follows as compensation but doesn't cause it.
