I love my 2011 HHR, I went from a pontiac grand pix to this and I love it. So much space, a little power, great gas millage, and it truthfully has great visibility!
@tedb545 Well the newer HHR's have this new DexOS. It's GM synthetic oil that has to be put in the newer cars. So All I have had to pay for is regular oil changes which is every 6000 miles. I have the small base model engine but it has the power when you need it. A lot of people complain about low visibility but they now include "Secondary mirrors" Smaller magnified mirrors on the side mirrors. Im up to 10,000 miles on my 2011 and still only had to pay for 1 oil change.
I bought one of these things in o7 and was really disappointed! You can't see the stop lights unless you bend way down!It makes a clunking noise when going over bumps and is grossly under powered!I'll buy a Honda or a Toyota next time!
@MrRemo58 You're a fucking idiot. The ONLY problem with this car is the fact that you have to bend down to see the lights. I have one, and it's brilliant. It's nimble, responsive, and very quiet. It only makes noises when you go over bumps at 300 miles an hour. Other than that, it's the best car I've ever had.
i have a 07 hhr ls with auto. very nice car for price.on the highway my computer said i got 35 mpg. 4 cyl yes but it does get up to speed for expressways.the only real problem is seeing stop lights with lower roof line. anyone looking to buy the hhr i would say go ahead but look at all the options.
Have you had any steering problems with your Chevy HHR?
The Chevy HHR and Saturn Ion have the EXACT same defective power steering systems as the Chevy Cobalt and Pontiac G5, but GM is currently only recalling the Cobalt and G5.
The government won't order a recall of the Chevy HHR until a certain number of accidents happen and complaints are filed with NHTSA.
Before the recall, Cobalt and G5 owners were being charged $900 to $2,500 to have their power steering systems repaired.
i have a 2009. Great ride. GM wouldn't work with me on the options. I just spent $1600 for leather interior, which isn't an option in the SS. I couldn't order a panel version with a back seat. Have to change the back doors--$4000. Wasn;t available in orange--only red, black, and blue/green. 18" shiny wheels with low profile tires are not retro--maybe ghetto. Having trouble finding 18" FWD wheels in matte black to match grill. I will probably powder coat mine black. Cmon GM work with us
Are you guys nuts?? This is really cool! This is the perfect sleeper, especially with the SS package which I'm planning to get. Some people just don't appreciate the old school look. See you at the drag strip!
