I think most people fail to realise that the general public is not being taxed. It's not a tax on households and energy use. It's a tax for 500 of the largest polluters ie. Large companies. The impacts on everyday Australians are so minimal, yet they still will offer power companies an incentive to invest into renewable energy sources.
