  • timeless .

  • nowadays nobody knows real/true hiphop, 8,708 views, smh thats sad...

  • never getss olddd

  • You have to love Ricky D, I love his voice and his skills

  • I'm not a fan of rap since I'm a white guy from the suburbs, uninfluenced by hip-hop pop culture, but I must say that I have this album - and Slick Rick is the one and only "old school, read deal rapper and storyteller." And his sound is dope.

  • @mycatisromeo damn catman, it certainly sounds like you're a rap fan. to say you're uninfluenced by this rather bullshit hip-hop pop culture which has become so corny that it's sickening is saying nothing about the fact that you might actually like rap. and that's cool - im black and if you put on some billy joel right now i'd tear up the club. (i jest of course, since i don't actually go to clubs, but you get my point.)

  • @Truer22 Are you saying it has become so corny that it's sickening? I didn't say that. But what is disturbing to me is seeing all of these "white afflicted middle class kids" that listen to nothing BUT hip hop. And then they start talking and acting differently. What's up with that?

  • @Truer22 I like Slick because he's the real deal rapper. He lived the street, dealt drugs, went to prison, and learned a few things. He is an inspiration for people in his similar situation. His sound is dope and a great story teller without being arrogant. This is good hip-hop. And seriously, this is the ONLY rap album I have and listen to occasionally. I like all genre of music.

  • @mycatisromeo i hear you. i'm not the one to judge what is and is not good hip-hop, i just like what i like and i like slick rick because i like the journey he takes you on with his stories, i like his style, and i'm a beat junkie so if i like the sound, i like the song.

  • The only cat that is really on Ricks story telling type groove is Ghost Face. Rick is audio silk.

  • slick rick has become seriously underrated. he's still dope as ever.

  • @ThatSmoothOperator hell ya ricky is the man

  • thanks man

  • west bubblefuck somewhere. =]

  • album is knot no doubt i still bang it as well, "hill billy drawls flew on stage like tomatoes" yell

  • Album was dope! I still bang it.
