  • sonds like a Johnson 50horse durning crappie spawning season...

  • where can i find a cam for my 92 300 with a good lope to it but still keep that awesome low end torque? great sounding truck by the way!

  • @mcdmar1985 Most the major cam companies offer cams for the 300, the problem lies in finding one that's computer compatible. Your truck is a '92, and I'm pretty sure that's speed density EFI. You'd probably need to get a custom tune (or convert to Mass air) for anything other then stock, or slightly more aggressive then stock.

  • Wow that sounds really nice. I may do this for my truck

  • we have the same truck, they're awesome huh?

  • I was always told by my dad that to get any type of high rpms out of a 300 6 cyl they need to be destroked . I've seen guys run them in sprint cars

  • @1978mtb you do that to get more torque out of them. straight 6s are designed for low end torque the rpms get up there and the torque goes down, thats when cams come in handy

  • @countrykid902 yeah Ive got a 1980 f100 inline six and it can out pull my dads 1978 f150 4x4 with 400

yeah those straight 6 have alot of torque.

  • That is one awesome sounding exhaust system. Really love the way it sounds, and the way the truck looks. Beautiful!

  • the cummins 5.9 actually runs on the collective ignorance of all the comments on youtube, without them the engine simply would not exist.

on a side note, i always assumed 6 cylinder trucks to be powerless and for pussies till i drove in a midly built straight 6 ford and it impressed me

  • @fiftyfordfloored This winter you can bring your pink slip, and your BS and we will have ourselves a tracker pull. The fact you said Blower/turbo on a 300 will work, is retarded. Everyone that knows anything about building motors, knows a 300 is a LOW end LOW RPM motor, and a turbo, or blower would do nothing to help it. Displacement is the KEY. Say what you will, down here with the money on the line. Then we will continue this conversation. I attached the video.

  • @sirwitchback I guess that's why the cummins 5.9 is turbo-charged, because it doesn;t help. And everyone knows that the supra and shyline I6's are hindered by their turbo's, Are you serious? The 300 I6 is a low rpm motor because it sucks at high rpm! A turbo would help add power in that band! And as far as a blower goes, they make boost down low, and would surely boost low end torque as well.

  • @caniwitech Cummins 5.9 is a diesel. --Shut up stupid.

  • @sirwitchback Really? The cummins 5.9 turbo diesel is a diesel? Are you sure? I had no idea you were such an expert! If you can tell a diesel from a gas, then you truly do know everything. Maybe you should shut up..........

  • that truck sounds pretty good. i have a flowmaster on my 300. im wanting to put a header on mine. hopefully it will sound that good.

  • Diggin the box truck in the background haha. Thats an amazing sound though, this very engine is going into my '67 Cougar. I wanted something different and this engine has way more torque than the 289.

  • you have change the cam or something...

  • very nice truck wut series flowmaster do u have in this video

  • wow, thats a beautiful truck

  • good god man.. i have a 1981 f100 longbed with a 300 I6. I'm looking for a good exhaust for it, but I doubt I can do all the modifications required to get it to sound like yours... this is great!

  • man that sounds sweet. haha i wish my 300 6 sounded like that

  • nice truck, those flaresides are getting hard to find anymore, especially in that nice of condition.

  • What kind of mods did you do to it it sounds nice

  • wow, that sounds nasty! I like it

  • Looks great and sounds amazing, nice job.

  • truck looks and sounds good i have a 86 black stepside with rebuilt 351 with flowmaster super 44s

  • that sounds real good for a Ford 6, it seems to be hit or miss with exhaust on these, real nice or complete crap. good job, nice truck

  • I'm a chevy fan but these are my favorite ford motors ever!

  • youre right CRAZY torqe but in turn really jerky on pavement though

  • I'd love to see one of these with a turbo setup on it

  • just imagine, ill bet they have one though probably alot of money

  • Actually, there are a few guys that run turbos on there 300's. I know of one running a 6.5L Detroit turbo on his truck with good results. :)

  • Wow i'd love to see that

  • @fiftyfordfloored I don't know why someone would do that. The 4.9/300 works best at lower/mid RPM's Its not a high RPM motor. They red line to early. I myself prefer stroking the 300.

  • @sirwitchback Not really sure what you're referring to; do what? Good luck stroking a 300. it's already a stroked 240 with a stroke of 3.98 inches. There's no reason to go to a longer stroke, except to waste money on an offset grind or ridiculously costly stroker crank, and for what gains? Minimal I assure you. Head work is what you need to make the 300 live, not more stroke.

  • @fiftyfordfloored Thank for the good luck, but I did not need it. Ive stroked (2) 4.9/300's.

  • @sirwitchback I would very much like to see proof to this claim.

  • @fiftyfordfloored Im in Beckley, if you have the money I will tech you skywalker.

  • @sirwitchback Why not show it off then? I call BS.

  • It's only jerky if you can't drive it. Mine's buttery smooth.

  • Amaing. Looks beautiful and sounds fantastic.

  • lookin and soundin good
