hello there i do use dermaroller. i done it by hardrolling but the fact is it leave some checkred lines on my forehead is it normal?how many days till it subside thanks :)
@drugaware : I'm about to purchase this product ( the 1mm needle). But someone told me that I have to use a new roller everytime I use it, means a roller should be used just once. Is it true? Thank you so much
Is it alright to use it if I'm 14 years old? I have chicken pox scars that I want to get rid of. Will the derma-roller make my chicken pox scars go away? My chicken pox scars are near my eyes. Is it alright to use on my scars even though it's near my eyes?
i dont know why but wen i use the derma roller (not much pressure at all) it hurts like hell. my brother got it too and he says he dosnt even feel anything. i wonder if i should still use it. Is my skin too sensitive?
Most people can use the roller without any discomfort at all, but you can use numbing cream on the area first if you wish. This is available at your local pharmacy.

Hey Lisa derma roller expert :) I have a question for you :) I have only been using my derma roller for about 2 weeks, I have been using it everyday. The good news is, it had reduced my stretchmarks! its like a miracle! they are disappearing! the only thing is, in the area I have used it, the skin seems to have lost some sensation.. do u lose sensation by using the derma roller? or is this just temporary. I must add, I bought my roller off a normal drugstore site, it was extremely cheap!!
@StarIsRich Hi StarlsRich. 1) Cheap rollers are not usually pre-sterilized and are disposable after one use. 2) Rollers are not to be used every day, because your skin needs time to recover and grow the collagen. 3) The longest length needle to use at home is 1.5mm because greater lengths risk nerve damage. 4) I would discard this roller and get a quality roller with full instructions and customer support to get the best results without the risks. Try derma-rollers [dot] com. Regards Lisa.
@drugaware Thank you. The roller I have is a 1.5 mm. However if I do continue using the roller I am going to stick to the one I have as it has delivered amazing results so far. And to be honest I dont see how it will make a difference if I am to buy a more expensive one in regards to the risks. If its going to cause nerve damage it will do it whether it is a cheap one or a more expensive one surely?? As it is only the length of the needles that causes the risk?
@drugaware on my instructions it says to sterilise in sterilising fluid but on the warning of the fluid it says to not sterilise metal. will the roller be ok cause obviously its got metal on it and i dont want to damage the roller.
@Annazayla I'm not sure. I am not a derma roller expert. But they do work for getting rid of stretchmarks I know that much. Everyone's skin is different. I personally am going to stop using any derma rollers because I dont want to lose skin sensation. I noticed the areas I used it had become more numb than areas of skin where I hadnt used it. And personally I dont think this would make any difference even if I bought a more expensive roller. I was getting good results with just the cheap one.
@StarIsRich , hello, how is your stretch marks? Today, I used derma roller for a first time for my stretch m. and it hurts as a hell ( 2,5 mm needles). What you wrote really encouraged me to used it every day, but it's not reccomended - that is why im asking - is it really worthe ?
I have been using the derma roller for a few months now i am 46 and i have been using it mainly on my face and neck lines my skin has really renewed itself i am wrapped i love it i use it around my chin and jaw and i believe the skin as tightened in this area dont give up persist if it works for me i cant see why its not working for other people
I have been using the derma roller for a few months now i am 46 and i have been using it mainly on my face and neck lines my skin has really renewed itself i am wrapped i love it
i went through treatment but just ones for experienced,, after a week friends asked me f i did something to make my skin glow, n i said lol i just tried derma roller treatment ones,, now friends dying to hav der own treatment, too!!!
Unfortunately this product did not work for me which is such a shame BUT that's not the disappointing part! The company is trying to renege on the guarantee by saying that my roller was damaged.
Granted yes, my first roller was damaged but I purchased two rollers at the time and the second one was fine. After 4 months of use I can't see any difference so
I asked for my money back and my mails are now being ignored. I'm posting this so that someone else does not go through this.

When using the roller at home, say the 1.5mm for deep skin (dermal) damage, what other creams and preparation do I need? eg anaesthetic cream? Other creams?
had four (4) treatments with dermarollers, 6 weeks apart\. All these treatments were performed by a doctor, in his office, with 2 and 2.5 mm dermarollers. It was horribly painful and I spent a lot of money. I cant see even the slightest improvement. Is it my doctor who is a quack or all this hype about the dermaroller is not justified? I was hoping for the best and read a lot on dermarollers. It made sense that small punctures, stimulate collagen, but I have not seen an improvement AT ALL
@svastichellaFROCIO There are several reasons why you may not have seen the results you were looking for. One being that the doctor did not use a high grade derma roller like the one which is available at derma-rollers [dot] com Inferior rollers give inferior results. Two, your general health and diet play a role in how good your results are. Smoking can slow down results, so often more treatments are required.
@drugaware Three, taking before and after pictures often gives the real picture as to your results. Looking at changes whilst they happen can not always be seen, but looking at before and after pictures is when you truly see the AMAZING results our derma roller can achieve.
My advice would be to use our roller and do your treatments at home, and I am sure you would be thrilled with the results and be another one of our success stories.
@drugaware thank you for your kind response. I read A LOT about the dermarollers and I was very optimistic. It makes sense to me, that's why I had the treatments in the first place. The theory underlying the dermaroller is VERY logical, so that is why I expected it to work well. Logical. I was really hoping to see a difference and I can't understand why it didn't work on me. It's very strange because I knew it MUST work and I was very hopeful.
@svastichellaFROCIO I have some experience with derma rollers, 4 treatments is NOT ENOUGH. I've been using a derma roller at home (1.5mm) for 5 months now (treatment every 3-4 weeks) and only recently just began to see results (see a video of me rolling here:youtube.com/watch?v=-rhpXIY_Pvo). Also, what was the doctor applying while rolling? You need to "help" the roller by feeding the skin what it needs to produce new collagen.
@homeroller1 not true. The treatments I had at home started two years ago and I was told that you had to wait months before seeing a result. Don't give me that crap. If I had used shorter needles, you would have said the same thing. Don't twist things around. This is just the worst skin device that ever existed.
I used the roller with the longest needle for stretch marks and I haven't seen a result at all. I'm sorry to say this. How many times do I have to use it for stretch marks? I used it to the point of bleeding and some doctors say you should bleed to see results.I hear conflicting opinions as to a) how many times you should use it b) if you should bleed or not. why do you say to use it only in one direction on the scalp?
Thanks for the excellent video, I have used the roller with the longest needle for stretch marks and I haven't seen a result at all. I'm sorry to say this because for the first time I was using a product that made sense. Am I using it incorrectly? How many times do I have to use it for stretch marks? I used it to the point of bleeding and some doctors say you should bleed to see results. So, I hear conflicting opinions as to 1) how many times you should use it 2) if you should bleed or not.
We recommend the use of our vitamin rich cream, as it has all the ingredients needed to support the use of our derma roller, and find it can speed up results.
I have one of these for my stretch marks. I've only used it twice and I already see a big difference. But they are full of shit when they say it is painless!
We recommend 0.5mm for light acne scarring/anti ageing/hair thinning, 1.0mm for deep acne scarring/deep anti ageing/hair loss, and 1.5mm for very deep scarring, you would need to decide which would best suit your needs.
All of the recommendations should give you amazing results.
We also recommend the use of our vitamin rich cream, as it has all the ingredients needed to support the use of our derma roller, and find it can speed up results.
