you are right on the money. i have had the pleasure of seeing the show 3 times including two weeks ago with niki as mrs johnson. she was amazing. i agree that mickey was outstanding and when he played the addiction piece you could live the part through him. one of the best shows i have ever seen. two bad its not playing in canada. until we were in london in october 2008 i had never heard of the show. people who don't get to see or go to the show really miss out.

Vocally Barbara is much better than Linda Nolan - or Rebecca Storm - and she puts far more emotion into it. Willy Russell has said she was the finest Mrs Johnstone and he should know!
