I think if this guy didn't bust his knee he would of been quite a respectable receiver in the NFL. Maybe not worthy of a top 5 pick but those are hard shoes to fill as a WR, expectations are way too high. People always said he couldn't hack it in the pro game but he did show signs of brilliance and also at 3:06 you see him burn I believe Dre Bly, who in my opinion was one of the better CB's in the NFL during his time. Warrick definitely wasn't outclassed in the NFL
@arkbishopbonkerboy not really a bust. He put up decent stats on god awful Bengals teams with shitty quarterbacks and career was changed after an injury. Put him on a good team and if he didn't get hurt he would have been great.
P Dub was a joy to watch for my Seminoles. I still dont understand how he didnt pan out in the NFL. @n3wbr33d911 Charlie Ward shits on Tommy Fraz...he was a beast though much respect for him. @Hootizl Talk when Clemson has the prestige that FSU has. lol i like how u put his only 2 NFL Highlights ever from the preseason game he played in before and after the meat of his college highlights. Buy me a BUST. Clemson 2011 ACC Champs. 6 out of the last 9 against you Semenholes.
Peter Warrick was the hottest electric game breaker in college football. He was just sick at FSU, I dont know whey he flopped in the League. He was kind of slow in the 40 but at FSU he looked a 4.3
@Number8Eigh8 He started to come together a little bit in 2003. 79 receptions, 800 yards and 7 touchdowns. Like first or second game of the 2004 season he blew a knee and was never the same.
That was my dude back in the day. Loved watching him play. Thought he would be the ish in the NFL. But much like Reggie Bush, he didn't turn out to be nearly as spectacular in the pros as he was in college.
Very nice that you began and closed the video with Peter's 2 best moments in the NFL. That punt return and the long TD catch both happened in the 4th quarter of the CIN vs KC game. KC was undefeated at 9 - 0 coming into that game. But Peter's heroics ended the undefeated streak.
NA MEING I SEEN PETER PLAY HE WAS A TALENT LIKE NO OTHER .....TO BAD INJURES AND THE BENGALS MESSED UP HIS CAREER BUT I GOTA SAY HE WAS THE GREATES PLAYER TO EVER PLAY COLLAGE FOOTBALL
@walkyerr no doubt he would've won the heisman had it not been for the trouble he got into, and Coles would've came back the next year (since he was a red shirt junior) and we would've beaten OU in the championship. They would've beaten Florida in the sugar bowl if Dunn didnt get cramps and Roc Preston not fail out of school. They would've beaten Tennesse had Weinke not get hurt. Whoooooole lot of ifs.
@haitianman117 you sound like a florida state fan who's been disappointed year after year after year. listen, PDUB is the main reason that STATE were national champs that year and everyone knows it. fuck coles, weinke and preston. when deion left, the next real superstar was warrick
@walkyerr you crazy. what about Dunn and Ward, they were'nt superstars? Derrick Brooks wasn't a superstar? Preston was the 2nd best running back at FSU sincethe 90's and that's only because he shared time with Dunn. Come on man be serious. Besides Peter Warrick, who was better than Coles? He was better than Snoop. Maybe Boldon but that's it. And remember Warrick lost a championship with out Wienke also.
@haitianman117 like i said, YOU SOUND LIKE A FLORIDA STATE FAN WHO'S BEEN DISAPPOINTED YEAR AFTER YEAR. just accept it "florida state fan", PDUB WAS THE SUPERSTAR AFTER DEION!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best players of all time for FSU would be either Charlie Ward or Chris Wienky. Thay won the national championship and heisman, they had records they led the others aren't up there wit them 2.
@Skormm Deion Sanders is the best NFL player to come out of FSU. My argument is that Ward and Wienke were the best football players "at" FSU, that's the conversation here. If we were talking about best players in the NFL Warrick would never come up in and argument even tho he was the shit in college.
@ jpmcam35 Barry was getting 20 to 30 touches a game Warrick might get 10 to maybe 15. Bush was more elusive than Barry maybe even more than Warrick. But Barry has a heisman.
not only did bradenton have the most elusive college football player in peter warrick ,we have the greatest college football player tommy frazier... manatee county is the best
not only did bradenton have the most elusive college football player in peter warrick ,we have the greatest college football player tommy frazier...BRADENTON RULES
in my opinion he's the greatest college wide receiver of all time. i mean dude could literally line up with no help on offense and score like a man against children.
How quickly we forget. Barry Sanders was the most elusive football player EVER, college or pro, bar none. As an unfortunate lifelong Bengals fan I know firsthand that PW was amazing, but I'm sorry... he couldn't carry Barry's jock with a forklift.
The game against Tennesse set it off for me. I couldn't believe the return he made. He was a classic. There was that span when Fl schools could do no wrong. I don't even understand how someone can train to do the things he did on the football field. Youtube has so many videos of these great althletes that somebody really need s to sit down and analyze them. The prospects for physical development are off the charts! Maybe it's just special althletes only come around once briefly and vanish
Sanders led the nation by averaging 7.6 yards per carry and over 200 yards per game, including rushing for over 300 yards in four games. He set college football season records with 2,628 yards rushing, 3,248 total yards, 234 points, 39 touchdowns, of which 37 were rushing (also a record), 5 consecutive 200 yard games, scored at least 2 touchdowns in 11 consecutive games, and 9 times he scored at least 3 touchdowns...
If you just see how he owned the football field with all of his athletic ability you cant say this guy wasnt dominating...during his time at FSU the other Florida schools couldnt stand him especially his ACC opponents..when he went to the pros he just couldnt stay healthy who knows how good he couldve been
@UserPickForSix The title calls him the most elusive player. Devin Hester was fucking ridiculous at Miami. Barry Sanders was more elusive as well. Peter Warrick is up there though. This is an impressive highlight reel.
@georgejungismyhero Yes Hester was but Warrick not only did it on returns but as a wide out. Hester just did it on returns & I'm a Miami fan but I gotta give it to Warrick.
@westfinest20 Warrick was incredible but I just can't definitively call him the best. I would say that Barry Sanders, Devin Hester, Deion Sanders, Peter Warrick and Reggie Bush are the top five most elusive college football players of all time and the order people want to put them in is completely a matter of opinion. Honestly, if I was forced to put them in order, any of the five could be number one and any of the five could be number five.
@georgejungismyhero All of all those people u named they all good but Barry And Pete the only players to routinely shake 4/5 people in one play every time they touched the ball
@MrMassacre007 I've already explained this once but.. The title of this video says "most elusive". Devin Hester and Barry Sanders were easily on the same level with Peter, if not higher. Michael Vick and a few others would have legitimate arguments as well.
If he didn't get injured in 04' and didn't have the crappy QB's throwing to him *Akili Smith* I don't doubt this guy being as good as Desean Jackson in the NFL.
@UserPickForSix Or Reggie Bush....they are both in the Argument. No Saying Warrick isn't unreal. Just saying there are some others in the talk...but thats it.
@UserPickForSix Come on now, did you just say Warrick was a better college player than Barry? Barry was a far better player in both college and the pros...
@hollerbacktyler Man, Peter Warrick was the Barry Sanders of COLLEGE Football. Barry truely is MORE elusive, but Pete is elusive also by his own right. Besides, Barry was a RB/HB & Pete was WR. In high school, he was a QB so yeah. You have a valid point here or there :-D
I really wish I could have seen the Seminoles through the 90s. I've grown up with them since my parents went to FSU and now I'm at FSU. One day, hopefully while I'm still in school, we can recruit someone as explosive and dominant like Warrick, or Sanders, or Brooks, etc. GO NOLES!
THERE WASN'T ANYBODY who could have told me P.Warrick wasn't going to be the next Jerry Rice. This dude was killing cats on the field. It was like the past from firday night lights. Look at Peter he can run. ctah, trhow and kick the extra point after he scores. Damn he was amazing. Just goes to show you can own and he did anybody but the NFL is a different story. But what if he was on a half way good time. That would have helped cause the bungals sucked.
I beg to differ.. If you watch his highlights at OK S.. You'll notice most of his YD's n TD's came from his blazing speed and tackle breaking, not so much from his elusiveness (jukes, cuts ect) ... Not that they weren't there but the weren't as prevalent as they were in his NFL years. // You see Warrick wasn't the fastest so he had to rely HEAVY on his jukes, cuts ect to make plays. Not saying baryy couldn't but he really didn't have to as much at the collegiate level.
@Shellyfish23 I somewhat agree. It's a toss up among B.Sanders, P.Warrick, and R.Ismail!! fuck this Reggie Bush/Hester/DJax shit... I was born waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before 1990, lol
what made him better than tha ''band-wagon'' elusive players is that P-Dub only ran a 4.6 40 or possibly slower... DJax, Hester, and Bush are 4.3 or lower, it's expected for them to be explosive... he had a handicap and is still more electrifying to watch than them!!
I rem he ran a crappy 40 before going pro but I think its more than SAFE to say that in all actuality he was at LEAST a 4.5.. but straight line speed isn't everything.. His acceleration and quickness made up for his lack of top end speed
It wasny just the injuries though. He just never seemed to adjust to the nfl. A couple times watching him i thought finally!!! Here he comes but he just flamed out. It seemed like he didny even care. He got his money and that was it.
Rugby is a game of evasion, and since it's continuous play, you're always trying to make a brake, put yourself into space, or pass to a teammate into space. The point is that in rugby, getting tackled may mean losing possession, hence you learn to run around tacklers. This is what peter warrick ALWAYS did

Peter Warrick is one of the most humble, and appreciative College/NFL player I have ever known. He is currently one of the coaches at the high school I attend in Bradenton, Florida (Southeast High School). He has came back from his earlier years at this school, and has helped out tremendously. He is a great rolemodel, and an overall leader. If you ever have the honor to meet this guy, it is truly a blessing. He is a one of a kind.
the subtitle is dead on..my son always ask "who was the most exciting college player ive ever seen or went played against..i dont know if theres ever been someone so exciting in college fball, maybe reggie bush, or maybe you gotta go back to barry sanders, or gayle sayers..i mean this dude was insane
& i dont think we'll ever see someone w/ the same skill set..simply magical
@1deanwdaniel Agreed. Nice pun there. I hate how off-the-field crap denies you the trophy for best player out there, because he was definitely better than Ron Dayne...
He could have done so much more in the NFL. I don't really know what happened.
I think if this guy didn't bust his knee he would of been quite a respectable receiver in the NFL. Maybe not worthy of a top 5 pick but those are hard shoes to fill as a WR, expectations are way too high.

Peter Warrick was amazing, but the most elusive college football player ever was Barry Sanders at Oklahoma State.
Shellyfish23 1 year ago
@Shellyfish23
UserPickForSix 1 year ago
@Shellyfish23 I somewhat agree. It's a toss up among B.Sanders, P.Warrick, and R.Ismail!! fuck this Reggie Bush/Hester/DJax shit... I was born waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before 1990, lol
Cropsy81 11 months ago
what made him better than tha ''band-wagon'' elusive players is that P-Dub only ran a 4.6 40 or possibly slower... DJax, Hester, and Bush are 4.3 or lower, it's expected for them to be explosive... he had a handicap and is still more electrifying to watch than them!!
Cropsy81 11 months ago
@Cropsy81
I rem he ran a crappy 40 before going pro but I think its more than SAFE to say that in all actuality he was at LEAST a 4.5.. but straight line speed isn't everything.. His acceleration and quickness made up for his lack of top end speed
UserPickForSix 11 months ago
hes like reggie bush
who dat fan or not nobody likes when u run backwards and try to juke on every player in the NFL
that stuff only works in college

How so?
UserPickForSix 1 year ago
@UserPickForSix

He could have done so much more in the NFL. I don't really know what happened.
