I remember first seeing this with English dubbing back during my child hood. Strange how then it actually had a more disturbing air, given the English voice actors seemed as perturbed with the surreal animation as I was. The Russian voices sound more comfortably at home with the bizarreness.
So interesting how the crocodile seemed to have it's life and very soul drawn from it when the Wizard turned it into a human. Perhaps The Caliph's desire to become a stork was more than simple envy of the bird's beauty and freedom.
Thank you so much for uploading this, it's one of my favourite animations. I get the sniffles everytime the crocodile is changed...sniff. Thank you again.
The ONLY part I remembered from this cartoon when I watched it like 10 years ago was some crocodile being changed into a monster & some other monsters around him. But after all these years I found it.
Salvador Dali-based cartoon....?

I loved the movie. But the end wasn't that much.

this thing used to scare me a lot when I was a child. I can see now how masterfully it is made , but back then it was just to much.
