Ford Gm and Cummins engines are very similer in torque. But ya gotta remember the Duramax is a 6.6 and the powerstroke is a 7.3. So it does the same with a smaller engine. And the Alissen tranny is farrr better than the Ford. That thing gets all the power to the road, not most of it.

But the For gets the best fuel economy while pulling the 16,500lbs we normally pull.(truck tailer and load weight of 24,500lbs) The Chevy gets the best mileage empty. The Cummins pulls best on big hills. The most we ever pulled was with our old 7.3 Ford...47,000lbs truck, trailer and load weight.
