News flash:

Obama did not send troops to Afghanistan before the election, even though he KNEW conditions were deteriorating.

Obama knew that the Afghanis WOULD BE DISSATISFIED with the worsening conditions and and would vote for CHANGE.

Obama made sure Karzai was not re-elected.

A runoff may be logical but in this climate it could be easier said than done. Perhaps the best way is to broker a national Unity gov with the post of PM and to have both focus on the real enemy the Taliban.
