It's like the clothe style, you can be punk as a teenager, and growing up your mind change :) Maybe their music taste has change. But you can still see the lyrics are deep, and still helpful to depressing people, and doesn't it mean they didn't really change?

Of course the music industry may tell them what must be in the albums, and I also think it's the sad part of their story.
