I love playing around with the oldschool engines I have built a few modern engines I like the fact that they are easy to tune with the laptop unlike the old carb and distrubitors engines cheers
Mr.Jim I am a engine builder in Mid-Michigan just starting out I like your design and was wondering if you would sell me and print to build one of my own something that would dyno four banger to V8 thank you for your time.
i got the loadcell out of a leyland bus 1957 model and modified it to use as a waterbrake got the display off e bay america i live in aus took about 3 weeks to get it cheers
I'm glad to hear you moved the controls, their original location was very dangerous, it made me cringe the first time I watched your video. If you do enough dynoing, sooner or later something's going to break and I've seen what can can happen when a u-joint on a dyno prop shaft fails and trust me, you don't want to be anywhere near that!
I'd also recommend you build a nice stout scatter shield over the prop shaft and u-joints, one day you'll be happy that you did.
I have moved the controls to the rear of the dyno and have built a overhead crane so i can lift the engine straight off the engine stand i dynoed a 454 the other day and it made 440 hp at 5000 rpm i will be doing a diesel i am building soon and will do another video of it it should be awesome it will be running about 20 lbs of boost
