@Damaris1034 No she could not have. The flashlight didn't get patented until 1899, and even then they did not have a constant beam, because the dry cell batteries at the time were FAR from capable of producing a steady current in the manner the woman has in the movie. She could not have had that kind of flashlight.
Man, you you dont think you can do any better than this shit? What kinda third world mixmatched video/audio is this? I've got to wait ten fucking minutes on the voice after the video!! Complete waste of cyber space.
The sync and sound I take it doesn't get any better, looks like I'll have to get the dvd. The wheelers and the Matron sacred me when I first watched it! She (the head nurse ie: The Evil Queen still scare me!
This movie was a favorite childhood memory of mine. My cousins and I still reminence today about being frightened of the Wheelers! I want to buy this movie for my neice and nephew.
LMFAOO! okay at like 7:55, watch that and the rock part when hes talking. even though the voice isnt in sync with the picture, he looks so funny jumping! LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
This movie is fucking awesome and I'm so glad I found this! :D I remember when I was LITTLE my parent's accidentally got Return to Oz for me instead of The Wizard of Oz and I was thinking, 'what the fuck is this wizard of oz knock off?', and I actually watched it and loved it! I'd watch it like everyday! the monsters inside of the rocks are FUCKING HILARIOUS! LMFAOO when the king yells at the rock towards the end he jumps and it's so damn funny. i HAVE to point that out.
Yes, the doctor was undoubtably a quack who continued to use shock treatment on his patients even though it harmed them with what was thought then to be helpful, but those patients were obviously state wards, those who had no living relations to vouch for them, so how they were going to explain to the aunt when the she came for Dorothy the next day had they succeeded with going through with it is anyone's guess.
Maybe so... I thought those patients were simply patients and the doctor tried to cure them. What makes you think they were state wards and all that? (Just interesting to know.)
I actually think that the "girl" telling Dorothy about the "damaged" patients was triggered by Dorothy's fear of the asylum. Plus, the storm and the electricity going out did not help. In other words, it was all just part of the allusion, which eventually got of hand. Of course, I think the patients were really there. However, they were just fellow patients who were more f***** up than Dorothy.
In the movie, there's a possibility of that, but in the books, there's never an indication that she's imagining it all. Baum wrote them (at least the first one--it's the only one I've read so far)as if everything actually happened to Dorothy. The ending of the first book (which is way different than the 1939 movie ending) is a complete giveaway of the reality that she actually DID go to Oz.
imagine we had lunch pail trees everywhere think of all the people it would feed wed finally solve the world hunger problem thumbs up if u agree

Can you fix the sound, please? I don't mean to complain, but it's just that it is hard to enjoy a movie when the sounds don't match the actions.

After the light bulb was invented.

When the story takes place it is 3 months before 1900 but I am guessing it was a very early form of a flashlight.

johnnytube420 3 years ago 2
lol! not to mention this is supposed to be kansas. where did that large body of water come from?
shishi613 3 years ago
because by the time that happens she's already making her way to "OZ", that part isn't supposed to be Kanas anymore.
