  • I'm trying to decide between this and the Aquaracer.

  • Excellent review!

  • SUPER NICE BAAAAAAND . . . . . Like it

  • I have the same watch. I have traveled to 18 different countries, dove 5 different oceans, been in two different war zones, attended several business meetings and wear it like I want to break it. Overall its a top quality watch and I would recommend anyone to buy it, esp a person who is rough on watches.

  • Dat Ring is Classy!

  • just got a chronograph today, the case is much nicer now though

  • got one for my 21st

  • Texas!

  • 30th birthday coming up soon friends and family most likely to give me money I'll add some then finally get me one of these

  • delirious i so much love watches

  • Nice vid!

Can you post a similar review on the F1 Calibre S chronograph model please?

  • fake

  • that is a fake watch.

  • @suermac No, it is not.

  • that is a fake watch.

  • Great review - Thanks!!

  • they removed the rubber on the case (side) of the prevoius Formula 1s because they chip off until the rubber is all gone...

  • ok i want to buy this watch, but i refuse to purchase a watch from a company that cant stand behind its products by not

    Publishing

    its Accuracy ?

  • how accurate is it. 20 seconds a year?

  • Audermars piguet in the backround at 0:23 ? :P

  • nice watch

  • should i get the stainless steel band or rubber band? im having a hard time making a decision

  • @603032

I bought a Tag Heuer F1 Grande Date, black face, with the rubber strap and couldn't be happier with it. I decided on a rubber strap because I already own a Tissot with a leather strap, and occasionally wear a metal band watch. Its super comfortable and secure and i wear mine as my everyday watch, In the shower, in my leathers riding my motorcycle, out walking etc. Its not too flashy but also people who know about watches will instantly recognize the style and bezel to be a Tag.

  • @603032 Stainless, they look nicer and the band is highly durable.

  • Anyone that pays £895.00 uk for a quartz watch is mad, its quartz and steel, which means cheap, by cheap I mean anything more than £50 and you are being ripped off. These watches use ronda movements which you can find in other watches at a fraction of the price? google it and see if i'm lying.

  • the bezel looks quite cheap

  • @vagos290189 All Tags other than the GCs and the new Aquaracer 500m look like they're walmart watches.

  • @elenchus I like the carreras but these formula 1s looks to me like bmw 1series . like having a Tag Heuer only for the logo

  • @vagos290189 I think the quality of the Carreras is pretty good, but they're basically off the shelf ETA movements. I actually like the idea behind the 1 series, basically it's what the 3 series was originally (without a sedan option). But I drove a 135i when they first came out and it was not very impressive at all.

  • @elenchus that's the point. Only the logo reminds you that you're wearing a Tag Heuer . It's an ordianary swiss watch . Tissot and Hamilton offer same quality watches with less money but everyone wants to have a Tag.

  • @vagos290189 true. but in singapore tag has pawn and resell value

  • @fiercekid84 everywhere Tag has resale value but I don't think that someone who's buyng a watch is considering the reasale value . If the exact same watch hadn't the Tag logo it would cost 250$ . The carreras are the real deal

  • @vagos290189 2 different watches, the carrera is an automatic, this is a quartz. you cannot compare. when it comes to time keeping quartz has many advantages over a mechanical watch.

  • @aberdeendeltaforce off course quartz is better in timekeeping but I like the automatics cause they are art

  • @vagos290189 true, nothing more beautiful than watching the micro mechanics of a winder or automatic beating away in synchronised perfection with not a battery in sight, but as i'm sure you are aware that'll cost you big bucks the more complicated you go, i,e. moon phase, perpetual calender etc etc.

  • @aberdeendeltaforce thats why I do not get Tag heuer . if I would like to have one I would go for the carrera which cost around 3000$ elsewhere I prefer cheaper quartz like tissot & hamilton etc

  • @vagos290189 Yeh, I see your point but a hamilton, tissot etc is not a TAG. Thats like saying I'd rather have Nike over Hugo Boss because they are both made of cotton? Hence the term luxury

  • @aberdeendeltaforce not exactly . I mean that Tag created this watch to satisfy the demand for cheaper wacthes and therefore they created a watch wich have nothing to do with Tag's quality. If you see the other series one by one you'll see that carrera's,link's,monaco's and from the other side formula1's are like they created from different companies

  • @vagos290189 have a look at the quartz omegas, you can pay more than £5000 for a quartz, of course automatics and manual winders are nice, but you wouldn't want to play sports with one and to say TAG has skimped on quality between it's ranges is ridiculous, they have one of the most rigorous testing procedures of any manufacturer in the world and built there business up on that principle. Each and every watch goes through a 15 day testing procedure before it gets the swiss mark of approval.

  • @aberdeendeltaforce omega's quartz use's the same cases as automatics . the seamasters are the same watches with different movements . tag's aquaracer uses the same cases as well but formula 1's are built just to fill the markets demand . my opinion is , if you want a watch in f1's price range go for a hamilton automatic or else spend 3000$ and get a carrera which is a great watch

  • @vagos290189 You are totally missing the point, automatics will break, lose time and suffer from premature wear if you use them in sports, like tennis, motocross, cycling etc etc, Tag, omega etc sometimes use quartz because a large sector of the market needed a watch that would keep time under stress and vibration. that is the market they were designed to fill. not sure what your talking about with the cases? they are the least expensive part of the watch unless you add jewels and stones.

  • Good review! Appreciate you sharing this with us all .

  • considering the price you dont expect a plastic bezel!

  • @MrHendrix1959 I think it only looks like plastic in the video.

  • @MrHendrix1959 the bezel is actually anodized titanium

  • I figured a watch this expensive would be automatic.

  • epic watch! I love the bracelet..

  • I got it today at costco great deal for 599, nice watch for everyday use

  • Bands play music. Straps and bracelets hold a watch on your wrist. Also, that is not a sweeping second hand at 3 o'clock.

  • What watch are you wearing when you reviewed the tag heuer?

  • happyguy82 - the watch only requires a helium release valve if you are going to "great" depths with it. 200 meters is not a "great" depth so this doesn't require one.

cheltcanary - i think he classified this a divers watch simply because it is a screw down crown with pressure gaskets.

  • I dun think that is suitable for diving coz it doesn't have helium release valve.

  • AFAIK that bezel isn't anodized. it's titanium carbide.

  • "it has a screw down crown so it would be classified as a divers watch in my opinion!" - lol!!! what a crock of shit!!!!

"water resistant to 200m which is plenty for most people....!" - ffs! this guy shows NO knowledge of diving, or indeed dpeth rating/water proofing of watches!!!!

  • Yup, the pressure rating does not allow for any other stresses on the watch such as movement or knocking. Then again most 4x4 or SUVs are never taken off the school run nevermind the tarmac. I would never trust my decompression time to a status symbol rather than a modern diving computer watch so not fair to compare. Status symbol is all it is.

  • he open that watch as easy as that??!! as far as i know they have a special tools to open that watch..

  • that's because he already had it loosened for the video.

  • what's different between this and Carrera? price? just question.

  • @happyboyy8k uhh im pretty sure the carrera is perpetual motion or whatever.. (no batteries) and is around 2000 or 3000$ USD here in Canada. Don't quote me on the pricing.

  • can't belive that guy open the watch up lol

  • i got one today. Really nice watch!

  • i just got this watch. it didn't come with manual. i can't find manual online. i cant figure out how to use the alarm. can someone help?

  • You figured it out already? Been 2 months now.

  • I am getting one yeahhhh

  • email me to get Tag heuer Watch

  • This guy sounds like GW Bush

  • he said it right. You say it like hoyer thats how you actually say it.

  • I have a silver aquaracer automatic chronograph. It's sweet.

  • i still cant figure out how to work the alarm?pls help

  • there is no alarm. lol

  • nvm, I am retarded

  • wut?o_O'

  • i got same one in white!beautiful watch!got a good deal in tourneau

  • I wish i have the same tweezers so i can stab my wife in the eye for not letting me buy a tag.
