  • No-one has mentioned the Ben Turner solo - fantastic stuff from the 'Dirty Bopper'!

  • I'd rather hear the music without video than no music at all

  • This is a very nice track, and great jazz from the Lyttleton band. But isn't YouTube supposed to be a platform to view videos with sound? Personally, I find watching a static picture as boring as watching paint dry - regardless of the excellence of the audio - which I'd rather listen to as an MP3 on my iPod.

So I quickly make my exit when I see that it's yet another static pic - or slideshow of several static pics.

Does anyone else feel this way?

  • @eckathecornet This is a Pom responding - although I understand your point of view I would say that these postings do allow old fans who have lost their vinyl to re-discover much-loved tracks, and of course give new listeners a chance to hear them for the first time. So I guess its live and let live and, as you say, you can always choose not to watch it. All the best, mate.

  • gemini1100 I met the great Sidney Bechet at a concert with Humph and Andre Rewellioty bands. My prog was signed but misplaced it, still got Eddie Condons, Lionel Hampton, Chris Barber, loads of others. RIP to Johnny Parker who passed away on 11th June 2010 x

  • Different and better than the studio version. Great Bruce Turner solo.

  • This was great fun, Played continuously in Zlines NAAFI at RAF Yatesbury in 1956. The audience participation was deafening!

  • Lots of fun, great musicians, Wally Fawkes still the daddy of them all.
