Hi, I was wondering how old were you when you were able to knuckle frequently without much mistakes. Because I'm 13 and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right.
@yumifranklin I was probably about 14 or 15, but you can do it at any age. I started learning when I was 13 or 14, but it just matters on how much you practice the technique.

@ussoccerfan95 No offense mate, but he is kind of correct. I really doubt he is good at soccer either, but this video cannot prove anything about you level of play. I would get a much better idea of how good of a player you are by seeing video of you dribbling, passing, receiving, and striking a ball while it is moving rather than just striking a dead ball. Freekicks will probably get more views than that, but what I described would be the next best thing to actual game footage.

My statement only suggest that the only thing noticeable in this video is a basic striking method for shooting. It's not actually that difficult. Most players should be able to do it.

It is well known that some people resort to sending compilation videos of themselves to recruiters to earn a trial with the team, Heck, it even works at the professional level. Look at that Max Lonsdale kid who earned himself a trial with Manchester United through hand delivering a tape to Sir Alex. I think this kid has a great technique at free-kicks and that's what the video advertises. Knuckling it isn't isn't common.

If you don't find nearly 100 accounts showing it, I'll be shocked. It's far more rare to find someone taking free kicks that could actually get over or around a wall. What's the highest level of soccer you have played? If you're a division 1 player or already a professional somewhere, then I'll respect your expertise. @jfreaking05 I currently play professionally in the PASL. You can look up what that is if you don't know. I have played elsewhere as well, and I played in Brazil for a short period. The technical side of the sport is my specialty, so claiming I could do this at 12 is not foolish. I could do 1000+ juggles at 12 too which is very rare. D1 college is a low level of football in my opinion, so don't talk about it. This is really just a solid strike on the ball. Any decent level player can do it.

Do you have aspirations to play in the USL or MLS one day? I'm sorry, boasting about your own quality and putting another kid down is arrogant and unnecessary to me. I disagree that college soccer is low level. There are many great programs like Akron or Maryland that have produced famous pro players.

Your free kicks are great bro. Is that a Jabulani ball though? They'll give any shot crazy moves. If you do a video with a regular stitched ball I'll believe it even more.
Hey man, I was just wondering if the footballs you use are the stitched ones or if they are the ones that are really round and fused together :-P I could have worded that better. Hopefully you know what I mean :-)
@CorinWright they are the thermally bonded ones but I saved up money for those although earlier I used the other ones and they work fine also I just wanted better ones, which work a little better.
@ussoccerfan95 In terms of knuckling the balls do you think it makes it harder to use the stitched footballs? I've been trying for weeks now to get good knuckle and dip on a football. But when it comes to hitting a stationary ball, (even on the valve) it always spins and even when it knuckles slightly I don't really remember what i did differently that time. could it be my shoes, the ball, the surface?
It seems to swerve alot more in the air when i hit a moving ball, and even then it's fluke.
You are awesome @ freekicks. I mean im not that good at them, this is just a suggestion but take most of your freekicks with a keeper, its more challenging (well easy 4 u coz ur awesome at them) and it makes an overall better video but anyways keep up the great work.
just a thought. what you might wanna do is a buy something that even resembles a wall (i think nike sparq has some dummy defender things which could work), and use those to work on shooting over/around them.

@alann33lol haha just because he can take freekicks well doesn't necessarily mean he can't play well in matches. I don't know if you've noticed but a significant number of the world's best players are also very good freekick takers (Ronaldo, Rooney, Sneijder, Van Perise, Drogba, Messi)

I apologize if you misinterpreted my message. I think his freekick taking ability is quite good, but if one were to deny that they didn't chuckle at times because of the way the ball is struck, i think they would excusing his idiosyncratic approach because of the successful result. Another awesome video. Some great strikes here. This makes me want to go down to the park and try hitting some like you (which will take some time ^^)...just as soon as my exams are done.

@alann33lol haha just because he can take freekicks well doesn't necessarily mean he can't play well in matches. I don't know if you've noticed but a significant number of the world's best players are also very good freekick takers (Ronaldo, Rooney, Sneijder, Van Perise, Drogba, Messi)

I apologize if you misinterpreted my message. I think his freekick taking ability is quite good, but if one were to deny that they didn't chuckle at times because of the way the ball is struck, i think they would excusing his idiosyncratic approach because of the successful result. All in all, good freekicks.
