  • Wild East just put this out on a R1 Anamorphic Widescreen DVD. You may want to check Amazon or the Wild East website to order it. It's a good movie, and that's the first time it's gotten a proper R1 release.

  • @VistaRecordsBoard What kind of quality is the transfer? Previous R1 releases have been pitiful public domain copies.

  • @utubefreak101 You can find a region 1 (or probably region 0 actually) DVD of this on ebay for like four dollars. Don't expect any better quality than the youtube uploaded ones though

  • Well the copyright has lapsed on this film and it has fallen into public domain. Thus, you can download it for free, copy it, etc. Do a search for it and you'll find sites like archive.org hosting files of it.

  • The gunshots sound like ray guns.

  • "When you've waited fifteen years to find a man, it's a shame you can only kill him once."

Epic trailer line. I just watched this film, and damn it was great. All hail Lee Van Cleef.

  • EVER SINCE HE WAS A LITTLE BOY. HE ALWAYS WANTED TO FIND FOUR MEN AND KILL THEM.

  • @relaxingmusic101 LOL , i have not seen this yet, so looking forward to getting paid soon to buy bunch of spagetti westerns.

  • so cool

  • Loved this as a kid. Forgot how much the gun sounds were a little "off" lol.

  • HE'LL BE COMING DOWN THE MOUNTAINS

HE'LL BE DRIVING ALL HIS HATRED

  • the best spaghetti western movie ever made!!!!!!

  • i never leave without finishin my drink.

  • Thank's for posting !

  • if anyone knows anybody who sells vintage spaghetti westerns let me know

    thanks,

  • @mt312006 I went into Best Buy not to long ago and got a collection of 20 spaghetti westerns. It ws put together by a company called Mill Creek Entertainment and I got it for about seven dollars. It is awesome! It includes Death Rides a Horse and a whole bunch of others with Lee Van Cleef among other greats. Go to your nearest Best Buy and look. If you don't find it, then definitely see what other collections they have.

  • My favorite non-Leone western !!

  • There are other similarities with Kill Bill, such as the flashbacks of the massacre for example.

  • Now that I think about it, Kill Bill seems to be one big (and awesome) variation of this movie

  • @hisdudeness07 ...And it has taken me this long to realize that! The music, the revenge theme, even the close-ups when she comes upon each one of her victims...Unbelievable!!! And I had given Kill Bill so much credit for being so original.

  • A variation of the line from :42-:49 was used in Kill Bill Vol. 1

  • The narrator says five defenseless people were killed, but I only counted four in the version I saw, the father, mother, teenage daughter and one other child (I think). Were there really five killed?

  • Is there a newer version of this?

i've seen a cowboy movie with a similar plot but I can't remember its name.

  • excellent thanks

  • Nostalgistique!

  • Agreed, Agreed!

  • Best (italo-) Western directly after The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Once upon a time in the West...

  • I agree!!!

  • Brilliante! Pure Noire!

  • Well, I think it IS possible. There are spaghetti western titles like "And they smelled the strange, exciting dangerous scent of dollars", "I am Sartana, your angel of death" or "Kill them all an come back alon"... There are more, but they haven't that funny names in English than in German (Gnade spricht Gott - Amen mein Colt, you could translate with "Mercy speaks God - Amen my Colt)

  • I don't think it's possible to come up with a cooler film title than "Death Rides A Horse"

  • i would wach foe lee van cleef, no mistake about it

  • i think this is the movie that me with a friend've stolen

  • guess that makes you really cool huh

  • I'm sorry to hear john died does anybody out there know from what? great movie with italian cast johnny

  • probably old age, he was 70 years old

  • John died from cancer i think. not sure since many sources either mention it or dont refer to it

  • Great movie, another awesome performance by Lee Van Cleef.

  • I had never heard of this movie before. I liked it. I bought it at the 99 cent store. The quality was ok. I bought it because of lee van cleef

  • The best spageti western.Cult movie.

  • I think this is one the best Italo-Western trailers I've ever seen. Good stuff.........!!

  • A classic Spagehtti Western. It's got everything: Great gunfights, outstanding music, and of course Lee Van Cleef. I just wish that there was a widescreen version of it on DVD.

  • I saw this one the other day, it's a amazing western. A must see for every Western fan!

  • Man, I got to see this one!

  • Lee Van Cleef is the Man!!! He kicks everyone's arse!!

  • You got that right! :)

  • at soffy's scene...

that music "from man to man" is this western's soundtrack(by ennio morricone !!!)

red colors and other details... yes i agree you.

i also a big Tarantino fan. and he is my idol.

  • I didn't wach this movie but colors turning into red and text "made one big mistake, tey sould have killed six" tells me that Tarantino used ideas from this movie in Kill Bill

    P.S.

I'm Tarantino's big fan i didn't write this to criticize him.

  • Yep, Quentin even used music from this film in KB, though I don't remember which piece it is. He also uses the (excellent) main theme from another Spaghetti Western, THE GRAND DUEL. BTW, I did not interpret it as a criticism. After all, Tarantino has always been upfront about being influenced by other films. :)

  • Where can i find that song you mentoind?

  • You may not like him but you shouldn't call him a peice of shit unless you will make better movie than he makes.

  • I agree, but that's a flimsy argument, 'you can't criticize him because you haven't made better movies'. That would be like saying all the people in the world who've never made a film have no right to criticize Uwe Boll.

  • It's available on DVD from MGM in a region 2 PAL U.K. dvd and in Japan on a Region 2 NTSC DVD. Both are widescreen and 16x9.

  • huge fan of the spaghetti western films.lee van cleef was amazing in these films.loved him in a for a few dollars more and the good the bad and the ugly which i think are his 2 best films.if he was a boxer he would always win the stare down.

  • Where's mgm cause they have to get this shit released ?
