this is just amazing. i love Jason Heyward. ive been a Braves fan since i was 6 and i watched this game on ESPN. i was so happy. but for some reason while i watched this video, i got the chills. big time. J Hey is just, so caring and a good guy. Hes awesome. and its amazing that he did it again THIS Opening Day. I hope he stays with Atlanta forever.

Either way, he met or even exceeded our expectations. Hopefully Freeman can have a really good full season.

My favorite part is when Chipper is waiting for Heyward with open arms.....its like a legend was passing the torch to the next generation of superstars. Mcann, Heyward, Hanson and hopefully Freeman will be the next young stars to carry the Braves into another decade of good Braves baseball.

But I must say Buster Posey should probably win the rookie of the year because he plays catcher(did a great job calling games) and his numbers are right up their with Heywards with less games(I know Heyward was nagged by the thumb injury) Either way.....we will be back next year. Anyone can pitch a perfect game but a young African American boy at the age of 20 faces what used to be an ace pitcher (Carlos Zambrano) take him deep with a 3-run homer. In that ball park that Jason grew up watching games and thinking 'it's my time to shine.'
