I shared stories about United Empire Loyalists opening for the Grateful Dead at Pender auditorium at Pecha Kucha Night at The Vogue. I'll be sure to come to the next live show but in the meantime, would like to document more of UEL's unique role in Vancouver culture for an essay or podcast.
We disbanded about 40 years ago but the sixties were such a significant time for people of that generation that reunion concerts regularly occur. Every year for the last four we've played at the Hippie Daze event in Kits. Also I have video footage of a major reunion concert in 1990 which was televised so maybe I'll post some footage from that sometime.
